Just saw Mike Scott was the Headliner, then I know we are getting all the Father's Day program stuff and that pack with three 99s. Is that all today and do we know two of the 99s already? Ernie Banks and Jo Adell?

There's one more left unannounced in the DOTP pack today.
Also: Mike Scott's splitter, for at least '86, might have been the most unhittable pitch in MLB history.

The splitter in general as one of the most dominant pitches but not a lot of guys can pull of a good splitter. Other examples- Bruce Sutter, Koji Uehara in 13, pretty much unhittable

Yessir. The main knock on it is how tough it is on your elbow. Notice there generally aren't a lot of guys that have long term success with it.
I remember when Roger Craig came to manage the Giants back in the 80's, and he wanted to teach everyone a splitter. Dudes were falling like flies after that first year.

Most unhittable pitch in history is Pedro Martinez’s Changeup. Or Mariano Rivera’s Cutter

Kershaw’s 12-6 has to be up there too

Give Dave Roberts "credit" for that AND his inability to know when his pitcher is tipping pitches.

I wonder why Boston and Houston could hit him so well in the 2017 and 18 world series? haha

That’s a good point but he was blowing postseason games way before they were banging on trash cans and way before Dave Roberts. Lol

LolOther than Dave roberts shenanigans with him, the only time Kershaw has really blew it in the playoffs is 2013 against the cardinals. He hasn’t been himself in the playoffs but other than that series he hasn’t really been that bad

Look at his baseball reference page, he only had an era under 3 5 times in 16 series. For a historically great pitcher, that’s a horrible postseason resume.

Smoltzy's splitter was pretty nasty too when he was closing if my memory serves me correctly.

Hideo Nomo splitter as well. His first two seasons, he was electric.

Hey! My team never cheated in the playoffs only in the regular season with a runner on 2nd. Not even close to as bad as the asstros
