Is that even allowed?

I was playing in the moonshot event today. All of the sudden, I have to face a left-handed pitcher. In my next game, I faced 2 right-handed hitters. I thought that only right-handed pitchers and left-handed hitters were allowed?! Was I mistaken, or was this against the rules? I looked, and I couldn't have any left-handed relievers, yet he did. Am I extremely mistaken?

I looked at the news page and it said stuff that would implicate that this is not allowed. Am I the only one who has faced this?

I don't know about the hitters but you can use LHPs between 62 and 64 overall

The pitcher was Matt Grace, a 63 overall left handed pitcher, which is fine according to @jonnydaman The hitters were Kyle Farmer, a 63 overall Catcher for the Reds, and P.J. Higgins, a 64 overall catcher for the Cubs.

Ok. I guess I thought that it would have to be a righty. You shouldn't say it is righty pitcher vs. Lefty hitter, and then allow certain lefty pitchers. Just my opinion. Thanks for the help!

Yea I was a bit upset when I faced a lefty also but then again they’re just commons so just focus I guess

Well in a couple of weeks you’ll be able to use any hitter you want. Moonshot 3 will allow any handedness.

People think they are slick putting in lefties - but the lefties are all such garbage that, really, it’s not a problem. Honestly, I think you’re better off picking decent bronze righties. Just watch for your hitters that have all-or-nothing vs. righties stats, and have some bench bats ready.

They’re commons, so the R vs L matchup is kinda moot. And some guys (like gallo) are better vs lefties anyway. So if your opponent thinks it’s cute to bring in a common lefty, he’s basically just ringing the dinner bell.
