2020 draft

With the draft taking place tonight and minor league players being in the game, is there a possibility that once draftees sign sds attempts to parlay that into more content. Whether it be a draft program or more future star? I personally wouldn’t be shocked since they’ve thrown a boatload of prospects/future stars in the game with no real baseball going on.

You might get a Future Stars/Prospect for the first couple of picks. But I'd like to think as the "season" wears on, we'd get more actual players.

It would be hard to get a lot of their rights. These guys haven’t even played a minor league game, and many of them just got out of high school. With the coronavirus happening, I can’t imagine they could get enough first rounders’ rights to make a decent program.

The cant appear in the game until they've joined the MLBPA and have played at least 1 game. I know in the past there have been special exceptions for overseas players but i dont see SDS bending over backwards to get any new draft picks in....just my two cents though.

If they are actually planning content around this draft, I would assume they have already made arrangements to get the rights for a good portion of the first round prospects. All these kids are coming out of college or high school, Im sure they would jump at the chance to have themselves in the game.

Yea I’m hoping for more flashback/legends as the season goes, although I don’t have a huge problem with the future stars cards it’s still weird that some of the best cards are players have little to no mlb experience. I Know all the superstars and legends will eventually get sig. series/finest/awards cards but I still wouldn’t be surprised to see sds attempt to use the draft to create more content since there’s no baseball going on. With no real games to do roster updates or new monthly awards they have to do something to get people to put some stubs into the market
