His offensive attributes on the card seem a bit high considering this is what he did with the bat for that season. The diamond fielding is appropriate for a gold glove catcher, but he was slightly above average offensively and they gave him diamond hitting.
Maybe we will get a Diamond Tony Pena with 120 contact next?

Take a look at his splits and it will make more sense. He raked against lefties (in way fewer ABs) and had 38 XBHs v righties (but the very low BA v righties hurts his contact).
Hope this makes sense.

Only if he has the animation where he is almost sitting behind the plate
