But, I suck at hitting! Bad! lol...I flipped flipped flipped to complete all the collections to get Mick and others.
I can't hit online. My average is .231 as a team in online play. Any advice from those of you that have all the good players? I've tried practice mode for batting on legend, I've tried being patient at the plate. Maybe my late 40 year old years can't keep up with the zone hitting and PCI placement. I take good pitches or just flat out miss them and then chase out of the zone.

Should I just stop playing online and just play vs CPU on all-star?? That's the mode I enjoy the best and do the best on.

Any feedback greatly appreciated! Thank all!

I have flipped diamond stadiums and gold equipment since launch. LS gold and LS silver also flip really well. Any time an event comes out I've had luck flipping many of the players required for the event.

^what he said. Just have fun playing man.

But a good way to help you improve hitting online, if that's your goal, is play on HOF and then eventually legend vs CPU or friendlies(best choice) If you can hit legend vs CPU in games you'll be just fine online. Also a monitor is another key thing, if you don't have one already. Good luck!

Monitor helps, not the end all be all, but does help quite a bit IMO. Take strikes, be as proud of a walk as a base hit. subtle movements with PCI is best, don't jam up down left or right too much, just practice and try and get a little better every time you play.

watch cbrev videos on youtube. They will help you develop a strategy for patience and knowing when to attack. I also started recording some of the ABs I strike out on as well as the ones where I hit homers. Then after the game I review them to study how to read the pitch out of the hand and what I did with my pci. When you watch the replay and aren't anxious to swing, you'll see that you really do have a lot more time than you think. So it all boils down to my first point - watch those cbrev videos and develop a strategy so you're anticipating, not reacting.

Just watched this video and I've been told lots that Zone is best and I have done only directional, but if I continue to play online...looks like Zone it is.

Yup, this is what I always say when people cry about facing God Squads or worrying about offline players easily getting great cards. Put me up against a top tier player give him commons and me Diamonds, and I would probably lose a best of 7 series.

I watch all these tips, and it's all the same. Fact is it's a skill you ate either good or you're not. You can spend hours in custom practice and you may get better, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I am a worse player on 20 than I was on 17 or 18. You would think after the 1000s of hours with those games I should be better, but I am not.

You can do it brother. 40 is the new 30. Heck I'm 65 and I hold my own online I do better in RS than I do events but I keep playing. I know I'll never go 12-0 or make WS but it doesn't matter because its the competition I'm after.......even if the game is broke some.

If you have a good team I would spend my time practicing in custom practice. If you struggle against Kluber I would practice on Legend against him. Maybe turn the fastball speed all the way up and off speed all the way down. That helps me

What I find helpful is to check the pitcher analysis as the game progresses.

Taking pitches can help but as you pointed out, taking good pitches to hit and then swinging at junk when behind in the count is not a great strategy. Your opponent’s pitcher confidence will increase and that will impact your good swings.

If I am not clear on how my opponent is pitching me, I look at the analysis and come up with an approach. If I see he is throwing a lot of first pitch strikes, then I might look for one early. I might notice he never throws good pitches early but tends to throw hittable offspeed second pitch.

Is there a pattern to what he is throwing when ahead? Behind? Full count? Is he going to challenge or try and get me to chase?

    Hope that helps.

The first thing I always recommend is make sure if you're using a television to check if it's on the Game Mode.

If it is. I try do play the Challenge of the Week. Great way to practice your hitting skills.
