Do hot zone really mean anything?

Let's talk about this. When was the last game franchise had this mean anything? Maybe 17? Seems to me that all the good hits and HR's come on pitches out of the hot zone. I get a good squared on a ball in a hot zone but in the ranked game I get a HR with FOF Rizzo of a ball that was away bottom out of the zone of of LS Kershaw. How??? Who don't hot zones matter in this game? Don't comment some nonsense either I want a real answer why are things this way.

It seems like all of the future stars have all cold zones similar to a pitcher, makes no sense.

There was a long discussion about this a couple weeks ago. Consensus was that hot zones mean nothing in human vs. human games online but that they do influence hitting in the other modes when playing against CPU. I know that in Ranked and Events games players have their batters purposely look for pitches in cold zones in the hope that opposing pitchers work those locations.
