Just played an All-Star level RS game because I am stuck in hell. I rage quit in the top of the 9th because my gold defensive 1st baseman Todd Helton couldn't field a slow rolling bunt before it hit the bag and then spazzed out trying to pick it up.... Next play a hot shot to who else, yup Helton! Ok, should be a double play alright !!! Nope, once again my gold fielding 1st baseman throws it away on the throw to 2nd. Next batter 3 RUN BOMB !! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!
And before that circus we combined for 25 hits , 16 runs 9 HR's.
RS is just a steaming pile of hot garbage and they have no idea how to fix it. I pray to god that another studio comes up with something even remotely like a real baseball game.

I would recommend using button accuracy for fielding, any throwing error will be the user's fault, instead of leaving it up to chance.

I’ve noticed the chances of turning a double play with the 1st or 3rd basemen is slim to none this year. They seem to always pull the player off the bag.

Button accuracy is one of the rare measures of outcome control that the game provides. Use it.
-
If you dont use button accuracy than it’s on you. The rest you are right about with the silly scores and non stop homers, it barely represents baseball.

I just played a 16 inning game. Bottom of the 9th, Hanley hits the top of the wall, bounces toward the stand, and then comes back to the field like a magnet for a double. Ended up losing because Giambi boots a slow chopper by the bag. Gotta love the dumpster fire this game displays.
-
I turned button accuracy off when they had all those issues earlier and completely forgot to turn it back on..... whoops.

If you have a large lead near the end it’s always convenient how your opponent can usually get the tying run to the plate.

And guys with 40-50 power hitting bombs off top relievers in the 9th.

Dont forget the commons with diamond level defense, I literally had two separate grounders go right under the gloves of Ozzie and Br. Crawford last night, two of the best inf. defenders in the game!

Yeah, you'll make some errors at first for sure, but also just practice every time you catch a flyball and you will get the timing down! I would also recommend turning throw canceling on, So if you put the meter in the RED, you can just try the meter again (may fake the throw) instead of throwing the ball away.
