Quit after my Home Run...
-
Just played 2 games in a row where my opponent leaves when Chipper hits a 3 run and 2 run, bomb. Back to back games. Wasn't even a blow out... One game was going to be a 3-0 score and the second game was going to be 4-0....
Point of this is that I am now missing out on a bunch of stats on my way to prestige. I don't play a lot, so every run, RBI, and HR, really hurts when I don't get it.
SDS, fix this somehow?
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

The guy has a legitimate complaint. It sucks grinding for stats and not getting what you earned. If you can’t add or relate or debate the OP’s point then get lost
-
I think your complaint is legit. I’ve had this happen to me too, and I have limited time to play and thus accumulate stats.
-
On homeruns, they should have it count right away. I'm sure the coding has already determined a homerun.
-
yea it's called dashboarding, a lot of sore losers out there unfortunately. anyone who dashboards is a sore loser 100%

Exactly, it is obviously happening due to the animation of watching the ball and what not. Should automatically put that stat in for your player.

This has happened to me once, it was Eddie Mathews that hit the HR though so luckily I didn't lose out on prestige stats. The funny thing about it though was that it was a solo shot in the 3rd inning which gave me a 1 run lead. He must have been having a bad day...

How do you know when someone has dashboarded? Is that when you get the "lost connection to your opponent" message instead of just a regular quit? And stats dont count when they do that even though you get the win?
Correct. Stats count up until the DC. So for example; if you crush a HR and they dashboard before the cutscene is over, the HR doesn't get recorded. All stats prior to that do though.

Ah ok, I get it now. Thanks for the explanation.

I had to get two wins with my starting pitcher and the other guy quit on me but even when i got the win my pitcher did not get the win.

As long as children and immature adults play video games, this will continue. Unfortunately.
-
Yep, Crushed a tater w/ FOTF Olsen the other night and followed it up with one from Devers. One for Devers would have finished his Online HR's for TA but dud Dashboarded. It would have made it 4-0, but it was like the 3rd or 4th inning. No lead is safe in RS.

Only way to fix this is to let us collect stats offline. Therefore, we won't lose anything unless we quit or get a disconnect.

This is fine for no-doubters, but what if it’s a ball that’s likely to be a homerun but has a chance of being robbed?
-
Happens all the time. In the first inning i have people dashboard over a solo shot or back to back doubles, some quit after they strike out 4 times in 2 innings too. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t dashboarded. Normally due to gameplay issues and not the other player. ( error, perfect perfect warning track, etc)
-
I admit I have dashboarded before when having a bad day. However, I never do it against players who can accumulate stats towards a prestige. If I know a prestige player is getting stats, I wait til the next batter and then quit. It’s what I would want somebody to do for me
-
I have done the same but not when it is a prestige player.

I do not play online, and when I admit that, people who do love to say I'm lame or whatever. But period point blank, you should be allowed to prestige a player offline, even if the particulars are more challenging. But then again if +3 on all stats allows someone to 'be able to hit' with that player, it's probably not worth it to begin with.
