Locking in for Prestige Players?

Under the missions tab for prestige player programs, it says "Stage 1."

Is there a "Stage 2" after you finish the missions? Do you have to lock in the player to get the prestige boss?

I'm close to getting the prestige version of Chipper and curious if he has to be locked in.

You can only get 40 prestige points from the stats.
The other 10 are earned by locking in the card.

So no, you can't prestige w/out locking.
