I’m not planning to go after Mantle but I’ve been locking in cheaper collections for XP. I’m sitting on about 200k stubs and could finish off the NL central for Stargell, but is it worth it to lock in Yelich, Hader, Baez, etc. for him when I’m not actively gunning for Mantle? Would it be better to just buy someone like Miggy off the market that I could ultimately sell back if needed?

If you’re not actively gunning for mantle I’d not lock in anything. That Stargell card is alright you could get McCovey in the high diamond who is similar for free

That true on McCovey. I’ve just locked in all the cheap teams so I’m just wondering if it’s worth continuing on the others. Especially since even the division collection rewards this year seem pretty lack luster.

Why not? If you have 200k stubs why would you need to sell your current cards? Plus you get more cards for the flashback collections and using for innings, a lot of XP, plenty of stubs for completing the collections, and 10 Stage 1 TA points.

What is your Diamond Dynasty goal if not to complete collections? Your reward for every mode is Stubs, XP or cards for collections...

@pbake12 I don’t have those diamond players yet so I would have to buy them. Unless I have good pack luck I’m never going to spend 1 mil+ stubs for Trout, Bellinger, and the other big diamond players to get Mantle. I’ve never finished the full LS collections which is fine. I just like to play the game with the players I acquire through the programs, packs, and buying off the market with stubs I do have.

FotF Olson is a much better version of Stargell imo. I’d use that 200K to finish off a couple Stage 2 TA and then use the rest as investment money to work the market.

If you don't want Mantle then don't lock in cards. Just sell the Diamonds and buy Legends or Flashback cards you want to use. When we had Inside Edge some of the live series cards would really get a nice boost. But now since there is no baseball the flashbacks and legends are better.

Some of the TA cards will be better than live series I agree with finishing off some of those paths to get better cards. The last stage will probably be all 99 cards anyways and you will want those.

I agree in the fact that I would spend stubs on cards to do the TA missions on the teams that you think will have the best cards at the end. An example would be 99 Gwynn for Padres or 99 Griffey Jr for Mariners. That’s what I’m focusing on now as I firmly believe the best cards that aren’t from LS collection will be the last cards in the TA and WS rewards

Yea it really looks like the TA programs are going to have the best cards. I have 4 at 100% with the Angels 30 points away. I could definitely do the Cardinals too. Gorman looks legit and I’m sure their stage 5 will be a good one.
