Is vision that important on all star difficulty ?

How about contact ?

Vision this year isn't as important as years past. Vision only affects the outer ring of the PCI.

Contact is inner PCI, Vision is outer PCI. I'm not aware of the perfect/perfect for vision

Nope. The vision seems to affect your ability to foul balls off so to speak and contact determines how big your inner ring/barrel through the zone is. There was a helpful youtube post that went through and created two players one with high contact/low vision and vice versa. Not able to search and link but you should be able to find it pretty quickly.

Like POTM Gary Sanchez has a way smaller inner PCI vs. lefties than he does vs. righties and the outer PCI stays the same. Which actually makes more sense than years past where either way the “contact zone” would stay the same size regardless of splits.

Took the words our of my mouth. Gallo is prime example that vision isn't as important as last year. I play on AS difficulty and he still has a moderate size PCI. I grinded to get his FOTF card. I love this dude's power and his positional versatility. Keeps him in my lineup.

The last patch I notice did make the PCI bigger; no complaint from me there. Bigger the the PCI though the better contact you get when you don't center up the PCI.

Nothing is important on AS. Not pitch accuracy, not hitting timing, not contact. It’s all a crapshoot

Haha yea that’s true. It seems like pretty much everyone has a large total PCI this year. I personally didn’t think the last patch needed to include larger PCI sizes.

I agree. I notice it's a minimal difference imo but i'm happy either way.

I watched that video yesterday. I expected that was the case, but seeing it played out like that makes a big deal. I know I'm going to worry less about vision going forward (it helps if you don't want to strikeout, which I need, but it's usually bad contact if it's not in the inside circle). You want that good contact on the inside circle, which is where contact comes into play. That's going to be my focus. (Of course, just getting it inside the inside circle doesn't guarantee good contact, as we've all seen).
