Prestige Level

Holy hell is everyone at prestige level now? Everyone but maybe two of my opponents in the event so far today have been at prestige level. Not saying that XP level = skill level, I’m just baffled how so many people are there already.
I get with the corona virus situation pretty much everyone is home with time to burn, but I still play about 3 hours a day, sometimes more, and I’m only Silver 39. I don’t do collections so I know that sets me back a bit but not the whole 261 total level gap. How are so many people doing this that fast? Is everyone just grinding showdown till their eyes are numb everyday?

I feel like I'm playing quite a bit, since I'm working from home, and I'm only Silver 98 right now...
Insane how fast some people get there.
I admit I spend a lot of time staring a menu screens and not enough actually playing. I also hate playing offline... And mix in a couple other games (warzone, NBA 2k20) But still.. -
A lot of them probably took advantage of the multiple XP grinding methods earlier.
It’s definitely possible to get there just from collections, showdown, and a lot of playing though. I’m at diamond 64, have only done about half the collections, and a ton of showdown.

Ive played quite a bit and I'm only at gold 25.

I guess I could at least do the cheaper collections to get some boost. I have about 100k stubs with no huge use for them other than TA exchanges. I just can’t make myself sit through showdown Especially the amount to make a dent into the XP reward path.

I am awful at Showdowns so that has to be it and not completing al of the collections for me. I play 5-7 hours a day only 46 Gold.

Guys who use to play 3-4 hours per day, have been playing 7-8 hours since March. That's how a lot of them are on diamond and above.

Have done zero collections and played showdown for maybe 3 hours in total and not since mid April. I’m diamond 18 so it’s all grind but absolutely disgusting to have that much into it

Yeah I can't do ANY games that much, these guys are like 24-7.

I mainly play showdown. For the stage 2 showdowns, I gain about 2 levels per run and they take about an hour. I just hit prestige 2 days ago.

Get to 30/40 for everyone, put in two buy orders for everyone. Collect one and put a sell order for the other and you should turn a profit and get a ton of xp.

Also it is the middle of the day on Wednesday. So, you’re more likely to get people who have more time to play if they’re on at that time.

500 hours.
I played a guy who had 700 hours into the game @ Prestige 50.

That’s interesting I’ll definitely try that 2 order method.

That’s definitely true. I run into it more during the day than nights and weekends.

Lol I know right?! It’s crazy, I play 3 hours a day, have Mantle, done a ton of Showdowns and RS and am only Gold 44. But I think alot (not all, but more than half) that are prestiged had a good bit of retro to thank for that

I’m at prestige 5. I’ve used the same strategy for the last couple years and it’s not hard to do but it takes some time
