Decided to jump in some ranked today and 2 games in a row I play the most salty, toxic and miserable people in the community it seems.
Yes, I declined your friendly quit offer. You're looking for a game to play, so play. Both these guys made it their mission to make my life miserable for declining the friendly quit. Taking minutes to wind up between pitches, pausing for a minute and a half every inning, stepping off, throwing over to first base 5 times in a row while I don't even take a lead. I don't know if these shenanigans ever work out for anyone, but if anything it only gets me juiced up to absolutely obliterate you. I honestly don't understand why people are so toxic, salty and miserable. Just play the darn game man. Such a turn off to play like this every single game.
i totally agree, BUT, when someone offers a FQ before a pitch is thrown, just take it or else this is what you end up. whats so hard about looking for a new game? it takes 41 seconds.
I strongly disagree and hate this mindset. You don't hold the power to make my decisions, I do. If you're gonna act like a toxic toddler as a result then you need some serious self reflection.
Edit: it's called a friendly quit REQUEST, not a DEMAND.
I sometimes like to look at the good in people. One person asked for a FQ before the first pitch and I was worried he would cheese all game if I declined, so I accepted. I got a PSN message from him a few hours later telling me he had to run to the hospital for his son and thanked me, he could of lied to me but that seems like a lot of effort to lie and he ended up being at 525 when I was only at 440 so he was ranked higher than me too.
Look at it from this perspective:
If I had to run to the hospital for my son, my ps4 could eat dirt and I'd quit straight up and throw my PS4 out the window if that was required. If the emergency really was that high, who in their right mind has time to offer a FQ? -

Nah. I don’t like giving players an easy out. I’m guessing. 99 percent of the time they’re offering an FQ because they’re scared to get smacked. Most of the time they’ll quit out after a few bombs or runs in the early innings.
I don’t ask for friendlies, so why should I accept them?
-
I think the exception to the rule is the mlb stadiums during the day. I’m sure SOME of my opponents do this inadvertently, but the ones that know what they are doing are the ones who will deny your FQ.

Ranked needs a serious overhaul. The fun has been sucked out of it unfortunately

Honestly dude, you might want to accept the friendly quit next time.
Sucks, but if someone is already convinced they will lose to you and you make them play, they are gonna do everything to make that game painful. Even when you do win the game, it's not gonna feel like one.
Also to clarify, I'm referring to friendly quits when the game first starts, not when they are down a run or more.
Bro literally before these 2 games I accepted 4 friendly quits. I'm only ranked close to 700 because I played under 20 RS games so far but my record, banner and bat skin makes people not wanna play me until I reach WS where people don't care about that stuff. What am I supposed to do?
Then remove your banner and bat skin until you hit WS...?

This suggestion has already been made multiple times and I already replied multiple times. This is also not the issue, the issue is toxic people who can't cope with their opponent declining a friendly quit offer.

You miss my point. I agree with you. What im saying is, its easier and less stressful to take the FQ than it is to endure 9 innings of bunt dancing and pauses. Ive learned to take the dam FQ abd save myself the aggravation.

I understood your suggestion and the logic behind it just fine, and if that works for you then I applaud you and you should keep doing it if that makes the game more enjoyable and less stressful for you.
To me however, giving in to these low lifes by giving them what they want "OR ELSE", you know I just can't and won't and never will. It feels like they're trying to bully their way to get what they want. I'll never allow that to happen, I'd rather sit through 15 innings of aggravation than give them what they want. Giving into their demands feels like a massive L to me and probably a giant W to them while surely after a game filled with toxic nonsense and taking a fat L, they can't be too pleased with themselves. That's the only way to make it stop. -

I'm just at a point in my life where i choose my battles more thoughtfully. standing up to an idiot on ps4 games is not my idea of nobility or pride. the moment i realize im dealing with a moron, IRL or on this game, i move on and save myself the high blood pressure. that's all.
