Making the game the most toxic and miserable experience

I hate when people drag the game out like that. It takes long enough as it is to play a full 9 inning game let alone when you have a douche stepping off and pausing all the time.
I use to play friendlies with my buddy and we’d use quick count so we could knock out 2-3 games in the time it takes to get thru one full game. Unfortunately he quit playing and moved on and I’m still here playing vs cpu because online is toxic as hell -

People should be able to step off, pause and throw over. That's why it'll never be eliminated from the game completely.

Decided to jump in some ranked today and 2 games in a row I play the most salty, toxic and miserable people in the community it seems.
Yes, I declined your friendly quit offer. You're looking for a game to play, so play. Both these guys made it their mission to make my life miserable for declining the friendly quit. Taking minutes to wind up between pitches, pausing for a minute and a half every inning, stepping off, throwing over to first base 5 times in a row while I don't even take a lead. I don't know if these shenanigans ever work out for anyone, but if anything it only gets me juiced up to absolutely obliterate you. I honestly don't understand why people are so toxic, salty and miserable. Just play the darn game man. Such a turn off to play like this every single game.
Honestly dude, you might want to accept the friendly quit next time.
Sucks, but if someone is already convinced they will lose to you and you make them play, they are gonna do everything to make that game painful. Even when you do win the game, it's not gonna feel like one.
Also to clarify, I'm referring to friendly quits when the game first starts, not when they are down a run or more.

Bro literally before these 2 games I accepted 4 friendly quits. I'm only ranked close to 700 because I played under 20 RS games so far but my record, banner and bat skin makes people not wanna play me until I reach WS where people don't care about that stuff. What am I supposed to do?

Problem is too many players looking to noob hunt or have an abundance of lefties and don’t want to face a lefty pitcher or don’t like the pitcher they face. Boohoo. Play the game, take your loss like a man. People looking for handouts all the time, afraid of a challenge

Had a guy decide to watch a replay of his two run HR Saturday which came in the top of the first. Think I ended up with 6 HR's in a 12-3 win and watched every one of them.
I get a lot fewer friendly quit requests since I tanked my RS record and quit out like 30 games so far.
There are HRs you just gotta watch. I don’t get mad for replays. I even replay the one I give up sometimes.
No HR is worth replaying, homers are far from rare

It’s simple man if they offer a FQ before first pitch take it. It’s not that hard and will make your experience much better.
It shouldn't be that way, though. The only people who FQ before the first pitch are doing so because they don't think they can win. That's not how competition works. If you want to choose your competition, play against the computer or your friends.

I agree with this. I sometimes offer a FQ to top players if I'm not in the mood for a sweaty. They sometimes get declined and I'll be motivated to prove them wrong for the entire duration of the game. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Either way there is always something to take away from playing someone who's better than you are.

You could go stealth on them, put up the All Star icon and banner, just use a generic bat skin. Honestly though I don't know, I'm not that good, 45-36 I think, and I get a lot of FQ offers. And this event, don't get me started...
-
lol, nobody uses the all star banner unless they're obviously noob hunting.

I can't hide my record tho. Which isn't even that impressing considering I played under 20 games, but I guess 17-1 is intimidating.
-
I think the most fun I've gotten was the people who would cuss me out when I refused to quit the event when it was 6 inning games. They'd say something like "Nobody wants to play a 6 inning game, so can you quit?" or some garbage like that. Then, they'd resort to the least creative of name calling when I told them I was just on to play the game.

That is horrible advice. You cannot just give in to these Gen Z guys and give them everything they want. Just because they dont want to face a lefty, or play at that stadium, or face your team full of whatever, or face whatever pitcher you have starting. If they sign up to play they sign up to play. Dont let them choose the exact scenario they want. You cannot do that in baseball and [censored] sure shouldnt be able to do it in the game. These guys need to stick vs CPU if they want to choose everything set up the way they want it.
-
I get this occasionally and I suck. My record looks good to [censored] players but I only play til I get the 10 wins for stars. (32-13) I take it if the game feels laggy and they ask but most of the time I don’t bc I am grinding innings for something ( Oswalt or FOTF pitchers)
I did find a magic guy one timeZ instea did quitting he got so mad he extended the game by letting me hit inside the park homers over and over lololol. Got a few FOTF missions done that wayZ finally quit when it was 30-0 in the 4th and I started intentionally striking out

I hate it when people hold the game hostage like that. Thank god for the mercy rule.

Sure but the dude who didn't want to play you isn't interested in taking his loss like a man and will let his boohoo be known in making your game experience a crappy one.
Honestly its hard to tell. Even if the FQ comes after the guy being down some runs, he could still try to make your win as shitty as possible

You don’t scare me, next time we match up you’ll be 17-2 . In all seriousness though, I don’t mind accepting a FQ before the game has begun, or if it’s laggy etc. Most of the time I just play though.

I literally get a FQ offer every game. I haven't played RS all that much but I'm 17-1, prestige level 68 and I got the 12-0 banner with goat bat skin. Nobody wants to play when they see either one of those things it seems. If I would accept every FQ, I'd never play a game before I reach WS.
While I get loving the flair, but you could just take them down and “blend in” and you would not get as many fq’s. The record itself isn’t as intimidating as the rest of the things you mentioned. Often times I don’t even look at record to avoid preconceived notions as we all have good days and bad, slumps and streaks.

I hear what you're saying, but I feel like that's a little bit backwards. I'm proud of those accomplishments so I wanna show them, just like the top 50 players do. I'm not at all unbeatable either, as a matter of fact the first guy of the two took me to extra innings and I barely got the W. He might've actually won if he would've just played the game like a normal person because he really wasn't a bad player. But I really really really didn't wanna lose against him because of all these nonsense toxic things that he did.
I've matched up against top players before like Jerznetwork, z0bliterator, Tapscot and McGunski and my friendly offers to them got declined as well. I take that as motivation to prove they made a mistake and I actually beat the first 3 I mentioned, only took the L against McGunski, while the 3 players I mentioned before him are probably better than me as well. But that's what the game should be about, accepting the challenge and rise above yourself.
