Network Connection Error

SDS, PLEASE fix your servers! I am SICK and TIRED of almost completing a game only to be disconnected. Literally nothing else in my house is having issues, only MLB The Show 20. I implore you!

Issue is on your end. I haven't had a server issue yet this year

Wrong.

Hes not wrong at all. Sorry to tell you this but i had the same issue last year and it was on my end. You need to contact your ISP and have them investigate your ping. Mine looked good through a speed test but it only shows the peaks not the valleys. Mine would say 10ms and then randomly jump to 300ms and cause lag outs.

Yep. I have gotten more server errors this year than any year I’ve played the show

I was on phone with Spectrum (ISP) for an hour investigating issue and they found nothing on my end that would be causing the issue including the suggestion of unblocking certain ports as SDS has suggested. So at this point it nobody's fault I guess. This is a new issue, this week it started.

So what was the fix? New modem? Router?

I’ve been hearing modem is the problem I switched mine today I spectrum to make sure mine wasn’t fault still having problems that being said I’ve heard spectrum modems use the dreaded intel puma chipsets which have latency errors which create ping spikes that kick you offline so I’ve been doing research and found the arris sb6183 is the best bang for your buck it has the broadcam chipset in it that has no latency issues. I’m going to buy it tomorrow so wants I have it setup I will comment back and let you know how my game is working.

Actually, he’s probly right. I thought like you for well over a month. Was getting disconnected over 20 times a day yet my Mac and TV worked just fine. All my devices worked just fine. So I replaced my router with the Netgear NightHawk. Problem solved!
