Robbing Home Runs

Just curious to see how common this is amongst you. I’ve played about 15-20 RS games and I’d say about 10 event games and have had Home Runs robbed from me twice.
Then when I attempt it when I am fielding, is it R1 or R2? Still never understand because I feel like I’ve hit R1 before and my fielder just dives instead of jumping Ugh.

I've only had one robbed and one swatted back into play. The one robbed actually happened to me last night where my opponent robbed Trout's shot and (justifiably) paused right after presumably to check his replay. Knew he was giddy with what he had just done. Just too bad McGriff put the next one off the scoreboard. Also too bad I could replay mine and he couldn't.
And you have to time it correctly while moving toward the wall to get the animation. Sometimes its a single hand on the wall jump and sometimes you get the Trout scale the wall.

It's wild, I played events last night, I robbed a homerun and also had a hr robbed against me in a span of just 4 games

The other day someone hit a ball to the wall and the jump spot showed up, I've never been able to do it so I gave up and put the controller down. Next thing you know my CPU controlled left fielder runs over, scaled the wall and pulled it back in. Never seen that before.

I've robbed one this year. I got lucky and ran in a straight line and jumped right when I got to the wall. Just so happened to be perfect timing. Also I used the right stick to jump

I played a guy who dominated me the entire game even though I had about 12 hits. Bottom ninth down 2 with 2 on and he robbed me... dopest play ever on a video game....
