Go to your game dashboard on here and enter his psn.

I've had friends bring this up in chats as something that is happening to people, but I kind of dismissed it. I thought it was a myth tbh, but here it is in actual fact.
Mind blown!
I am, however, completely speechless when it comes to the level of ineptitude SDS has demonstrated throughout nearly every aspect of this game and its coding.

It was rampant last year. There was one group in particular that figured out how to make the game freeze at the match up screen but they still would get the win.
They would just run 12-0 runs for the rewards and make a ton of stubs

3 Days ago I was 11-1 in BR and it was my 12 win game. I matched up with Luigie2604, and the game froze. Me and him were both in a freeze off for a total of 9hrs, and then when I turned my TV back on I had lost 20-0. Not only did this stink that it was my 12 win game and it froze but it also was going on for 9hrs. But wait... Apparently this player does this every game he plays. What he did to me was he hit my first batter then he threw a wild pitch witch advanced my runner. After that the game froze. So I got curious then because I thought it was impossible for the game to become unfrozen and it turns out he does this to everybody. I looked at the players game history and not only do all of his games end 0-0 but he always does the same strategy witch is hit the batter then throw a wild pitch. This either seems to be a bug in the game or the player has hacks... I unfortunately got the worst of it missing out on my 12 win game, while he went 12-0 by hacks. The players psn is Luigie2604 if you want to check out his game history, if you see this spread the word.

Wow! That's disturbing af! 2k has ways to ban players that dashboard and cheat. Surely SDS can come up with a solution to punish these people. They're Sony after all. Seems like ip nam could be a real and justified punishment.

ip ban*

This cheater should be banned for life as should every other cheater. Online play is ruined because of people like this and also the insane "freeze offs" that give losses to players who don't deserve them.

IP banning someone who cheats in the manner described in the OP is warranted. IP banning someone who dashboards even though their opponent still gets the win is like a cop shooting out the tires of a car on the highway because they forgot to use a turn signal. Was the driver wrong? Sure. Is excessive force which doesn't match the crime being used? Yeah, probably...
This next comment isn't necessarily targeted at you, but there have been a few people on here the last couple of days that are overreacting to things that are minor annoyances. Someone is bunt dancing? OMG THEY'RE CHEATING! THEY MUST BE BANNED! Well, dashboarding is basically at that level. Poor sportsmanship. Yes. Cheating. No.
In my experience, people that play in a specific way (bunt dancing, dancing on and off first base, circling around fly balls, and eventually dashboarding/rage quitting) typically suck at the game and can be easily beat with some patience and a cool head. In the end, people like a certain Nationals fan who blow up and then go on a tirade on the forum because of it are just as bad.

Those who defend cheating are cheaters themselves. Period.
-
I see what you mean every time he would get behind he would hit a batter then throw a wild pitch and still get the win even if losing. Total BS.

Read through the thread again. Not one person defended cheating. I'm not sure who has been pissing in your cornflakes the past few days, but you need to get over yourself.

Plenty have been defending cheating. It's all right there in every thread I created over the weekend. Deal with it.

All I see is someone who loves to play victim in most of the threads he posts in.

Until cheating and freezing is fully addressed by SDS, you will continue to see me post. While it's just a video game, we are all victims of being ripped off for a game we were supposed to be able to play online.

I shouldve distinguished between the two offenses and punishments more thoroughly. Dashboarding shouldnt be punished by ip ban. It should, however, be punished in cases that rob the opposing player of stats.

They need to hire someone for epic games. They know how to ban people. Even the pathetic public apology videos will bring u back to their community. I love it!
