Figured after three weeks I would see what changes may have been made. Of course it never fails to clearly see your still amazingly hard work at minimizing the skill gap. As frustrating as this just was it was the best thing that could have happened making sure I can finally be done with this f@&king trash of game.
Bottom 7 tie game Juan Pierre lead off base hit and he gets thrown out at first with a one step lead and no steal sign on. Next AB Kenny Lofton draws the walk and what a shock on the first pickoff attempt once again with a one step lead with no steal sign on and he gets thrown out. Next... Of all things you really just guessed it because I still didn’t learn my lesson making sure to hug the base when it comes to 99 speed and base stealing players. Top 8th one out tie game and Ricky Henderson draws a walk then on first with that one step lead once again and boom thrown out on the first pickoff attempt.
I mean really though it’s like you guys have no f&@king shame at all anymore when it comes to doing everything you can to help the lesser players and worst it’s like you want to throw it in our faces. Then again I guess you can have a walk just line out like you usually would a good and squared up so I guess it’s understandable that’s the next step after giving up a walk which you have no control over countering. Three times in a two inning span the three top stealing players basically in the game and you gonna have them all thrown out on the first pickoff attempt each time when not even having a steal sign.
From a business standpoint it’s f@&king genius. Do everything in your power to maximize profits by maximizing the number of players you keep playing the game. Yet from a gaming and most importantly competitive standpoint it’s absolutely [censored] TRASH!
Over/Under... 15 mins til they delete this post!

P.S. This is not even at all a matter of me losing a game. I would rather be bad at a game with the realization that I am just outmatched in whatever aspects than I would get a win which I didn’t earn. Again genius from a business standpoint but absolute trash from every other standpoint!

Seems like the fact that you have the three players mentioned...possibly you are trying to exploit the game with speed advantage? Not that it makes it fair that you were picked off 3 straight times...but maybe taking an extra step with 99 speed guys and getting picked is a way to counter the speed exploit? Did the pitcher have a good pickoff move lol?

Sounds like the skill gap worked just fine. Because that isnt smart at all. Those 3 guys all steal bases at a VERY high rate with a reg lead. -
You do realize that by default you get a lead off first right? Then you’re taking an extra lead on top of that and getting picked off. Knowing that every time you take a huge lead your opponents going to throw over and have a good chance of picking you off. Without looking up I’d bet you were always a very high base stealing player that couldn’t hit.

Yep. When we could see Universal profiles you always spotted those guys that had as many SB's as they had HR's. Or in some cases even more. You knew a headache of a game was about to begin. The more these guys quit playing the better it is for everyone else.

Came here to say this. You already have a one step lead, any time you take an extra step, you’re vulnerable to a pickoff. I nail guys at second all the time taking a step, because I pitch using SZ2. I’ll watch them the first couple of times they do it and then just nail them when they get too confident with it.

I'm so confused. The other day we had a tool complaining about people bunting against the shift, now we have a guy wondering why he's getting picked off when he takes an extra lead step. Has the world gone mad, or have some of these people learned the game of baseball by simply playing the cheesiest way possible on this game?
Go watch a real game and learn some s#!t. While you're at it, stop being a smelly, cheesy pile of horse dung.

After this read, I’ve come to the conclusion that this isn’t a skill gap problem as much as a being smart gap problem.
