Extreme lag while on defense online

I can’t be the only one with this problem... my internet connection is great, I have full functionality with my other games when I go online. But when I’m playing online in the show 20, there is an extreme lag when I’m pitching. The pitch is in slow motion and I can’t skip through the short in between innings shots, it always says waiting for other player. It just really messes with the flow of the game and I can’t get it fixed. Does anybody have any connection tricks to try? I have the same problem using LAN cable and WiFi.
