Beat Showdown Easy down by 15 runs with 20 outs! (Video)

Imo much easier to just get through to the 2nd boss. Takes like 20 minutes and you can get yourself 5+ runs and great players.

I just play all of them, you get a good chunk of XP and they're pretty easy with all the top players you get in between.

I understand the mode is challenging, if you get off to a good start, you can get the pitcher's confidence down. if you wait for enough pitches they will throw it down the middle for easy hits. I wanted to post the video to try and help people.
All joking aside I really like your videos man.No bull in them and you are very good at hitting

Showdowns can be challenging and frustrating sometimes. Don't play if it's gonna frustrate you because that is no fun. Showdowns and moments frustrate the hell out me, so I do MTO for the TAs and have more fun doing it, plus I level up alot that way.
If you're good enough to beat the showdown, go for it. I'm not that good anymore at the game, age is catching up with me and my hand-eye coordination isn't what it used to be. -
If I get a good draft I’ll skip straight to the end and usually 2 out of 3 times Will get the 16 runs otherwise I will play the first three challenges to get a couple better players.
Confidence in pitchers is huge and you need to be somewhat disciplined because I like to not swing until I have two strikes first time through the lineup. Also never take that extra base unless it’s no doubt you will make it. It’s a station to station game no need to push anything when you need 8 runs yet.
That said I do believe an “excitement factor” is programmed in. It’s always a roller coaster. I’ve gotten 8 runs before with 18 outs left and the pitcher confidence is slammed yet I will start hitting balls straight at guys for 5 or 6 outs. It seems whether I start the game needing 16 runs or 7 runs no matter how well I hit I’m usually down to 5 or less outs once I win. There is almost always a guarantee you will go through a rough patch during the mode and the key is to not let it tilt you.

Pitcher confidence may be the worst mechanic in all of sports games.
Yup, it has been like this for awhile. Most of the time that I get terrible results from good timing and good PCI placement, I figure its pitcher confidence that has screwed me over.

My only complaint about the thread is the word "Easy" in the title.
Kind of like saying "Beat Dark Souls Easy" and then simply telling people to avoid getting hit by the bosses.

Wow, even one of the nicest and BEST content creators in the community gets flamed in the forums. Ya'll beyond toxic.
-
I have not really seen anyone flame him. But can we not criticize his use of the word "Easy" in the title?

He's being "flamed" because he's one of the best players at the game telling us mortals how easy it is to beat something.
That's like Shaq showing a 5'4 dude how easy it is to dunk lol
Lefty IS a great guy tho. No disagreement there.

Could you imagine some people from here playing dark souls? Would be hilarious.

It's on veteran difficulty.....if that's hard for you, I'm sorry?

Alright, fair enough, I probably should not have put easy in the title of this thread. But in all honesty I feel that the mode is fairly easy with the right strategy. I have failed it a few times sure, but I have been able to complete showdown with this method about 30 times now and I know based off the feedback and comments that it has also helped many people out. That was my goal for making the thread and the video, to help others, I'm glad I could help in some way. I always look to keep improving with all of your feedback so thank you, I appreciate it.

Personally lefty is my favorite content guy because he is so much more "real" than some of the jokers that do it. The old partners were nothing short of arrogant dbags and some of the top guys that produce content are so full of themselves that it's hard to keep watching. I've always enjoyed lefty's stuff, it's a great change from the others and it's always good stuff and I find it valuable to the community.
That being said, he is a top guy so what's easy for him is still somewhat challenging for quite a few others. I've only done it twice and won both but I understand why people still struggle. I think the biggest problem with these modes is that we all get in our own heads too much and screw it up. Any pitcher is hittable on veteran.
Thanks lefty, always appreciated

Oops sorry, double post by accident
-
Wait a minute, so all I have to do is start off with three consecutive perfect perfect home runs and not strike out and/or hit into double plays? That changes everything. Why didn't I think of that myself?

Maybe a title like. "Tips for making showdown easier" instead of "Beat Showdown Easy".
You are better than a vast majority of people attempting the mode. I was able to complete it and there is no doubt that these are easier than the first batch of Showdowns. I never even came close on the first batch.
I think people are also more sensitive here because there are a number of users who, whenever someone complains that they are having trouble with a showdown always shows up in the thread talking about how easy it was, basically bragging on themselves while making the original poster feel worse.

I completely understand, and I never meant the thread to come across as me bragging about playing CPU on veteran. I would never brag about beating the CPU or anyone online at all. I just play the video game for fun and for what it is, a video game. Sure, I’ll get some feedback of people mocking me and saying those aren’t true tips. The confidence meter is the biggest factor in this method by far.
