Then turn auto shifts off. Unless you are an adolescent just learning baseball you should not have shifts automatically set for you. It should be a strategy.

Dude, watch that video I posted. You will see some of the slowest baseball players of all time, including Big Pappi who has a speed rating of 0 in this game, beat out the shift with a bunt.

Because the shift protects against extra bases, not singles. It’s a free pass if they want it, teams know this.
