It's possible that his price has risen due to the stubs sale which ends tomorrow. It was only 15% so I wouldn't expect a huge effect, but it's worth considering

I think prices are going to keep going up. The real stub sale is probably coming memorial weekend.

    Stub Sale

    • Impending Event
    • NMS crowd getting to the point where they can start affording the high-end collections
    • TA Stage 2 not exactly wowing the masses

= a lot of stubs out there and fewer and fewer avenues to spend them.

Thanks for all the responses. I think I'm going to go ahead with Scherzer. I'll feel more comfortable having to save for Degrom and Acuna.

Ya I always go after the most expensive cards for collections first...it's easier getting 25k than 350k...I always start with trout an then the next which is usually bellinger and or arenado

I tell myself that I'm going to do that each year, but it's just too tempting to jumpstart my DD team and fill it up with multiple diamonds quickly.

That's honestly the smartest thing to do. I just started heavily flipping last night and I'm feeling really good about getting the Live Series collection done within the next month or so.

All I need for the AL is Gerrit Cole, Aaron Judge, Francisco Lindor, and Jose Ramirez. Somehow I pulled Trout this year and had the foresight to just lock him in, so I feel real good about getting Craig Biggio in my lineup in the next few days.

The NL on the other hand, I still need Cody Bellinger, Kirby Yates, Ketel Marte, Jack Flaherty, Josh Hader, Christian Yelich, Freddie Freeman, Ronald Acuna Jr., and Jacob deGrom.

Ya I totally understand that building the team is one of the most important things to do starting out...what I do is I wait to play ranked for awhile til a few patches in...I'll just grind moments an everything else first...I usually start with the underrated silver an golds to build my team just so I can play against the CPU(silver moncoda is a beast for me)then get diamonds for rewards an so on....I just got biggio I have to play a bit more with him but he pretty darn good I have to say...it's all about self control when it comes to stubs and how to use them...I only buy one regular pack a day to scratch the itch lol and I always do it at night before I go to sleep anything else I just buy off of market...I been living in the auction house for a month now an if I tallied up how much I flipped I'm sure it's over a million stubs by now or atleast close to it...I just got sherzer Saturday an brought me down to 2k in stubs and I'm already at 45k in stubs.......I just need degrom as the last high priced diamond then on to the 20-25k diamonds...I know flipping like I do isn't for everyone but I oddly enjoy it for some reason it relaxes me...hope you and everyone stays safe and happy hunting

I never get lucky an get trout in a pack I always have to buy him...last month I started flipping to get him and in like 3-4 days I flipped up to 375k in stubs an got trout after I got him I was starting from 0 stubs at that time an in 2 days was back up to 50k...it's alot of time spent in auction house not for everyone but I have two big screen TVs an 2 PS4's side by side an I been binge watching all of the marvel shows on Netflix in a suggested timeline order of watching them that I found when I googled it and it helps alot when flipping....and yes I still play the game as well..I have all moments done I got Jackie and kaline and Didi got all inning bosses I'm working on 3rd inning to get chipper right now ...so I'm doing it all lol...stay at home orders has helped with doing all of this otherwise I wouldn't be close to finishing the collections....stay safe out there and just have fun
