I thought that if a player had 80 + power that a perfect perfect fly ball would always be a home run? Well just hit a perfect perfect fly ball in showdown and it was a fly out. Showdown is made to make you lose its so lame

Also I already know people are gonna say “just be better and it wouldn’t matter if the game screws you once or twice. And I get that. But if the game promotes a new feature where if your player has 80+ power and hits a perfect perfect fly all then it’s a hole run. It should follow through

I'm not sure where you heard that a perfect perfect is it guaranteed home run on 80 or more power. There are perfect perfect ground balls and low line drives. Every perfect perfect with Gary Sheffield is not and should not be a home run.

Yup before rng became the overall deciding factor. Hit plenty of perfect perfect fly balls to straight away center with players of 80+ power that die at the track. Exit velocity is rng as well.

Sds very clearly stated in the pre released stream dedicated to hitting that the vast majority of perfect perfect fly balls would be home runs with 80 + power. I think they said it was almost a guarantee but not 100% sure. Fly balls not liners or grounders those obviously are not guaranteed to be hr though the mantles and sheffs with 100 + power hit plenty of straight liners for hr to center.

If that is what they said that is definitely not what happens in game LOL
