I know it's been touched on, maybe I missed it. I just put two good swings on pitched STRAIGHT down the middle of the plate. First with diamond boss Chipper, 2nd with gold LS Soto. Both pop ups. Maybe bc it was in Showdown and they nerf the bats???

Sounds like you are using directional hitting? Use Zone - a lot less RNG. Even if you are bad at it, when facing the CPU just never move the PCI, you will get a lot of pitches down the middle, and now you will be rewarded consistently for it.

OK cool, yeah just happened again, same results from the same hitters. So basically there is no skill involved just luck on directional. Great product SDS...

If you want control of the PCI use zone. If you prefer to use directional that's fine but it's unreasonable to expect to crush the ball every time when you choose to leave the PCI placement up to the CPU

I mean there really is no skill required to use directional.... you're literally just clicking a button
