Enjoy the game

How many of you actually enjoy this year's game? I follow several Instagram accounts and read a lot of posts here in the forums and I see more complaints than actual enjoyment. Me personally I really do like the game. Yes there are a few things I think could be fixed or changed, but overall I have been having a ton of fun this year. I've changed my hitting style for the first time in years and have been able to do things I haven't been able to do before.

Same here. There has been some bad but overall I really am having a lot of fun playing and I've made it to division series so I'm pretty happy.

I think the game is still incredible despite the handful of tweaks that could be improved. That said, the idea I see that a perfect/perfect or good/good should always end up with a positive result for the batter is ludicrous. Do people not watch real baseball? How many times do you see balls crushed right at someone or hit into the gap where someone makes a great diving play. It happens at least a couple times almost every game. I love that this game also doesn’t automatically reward the batter every time for a good swing. And also allows for bad swings to sometimes fall in or squeak by a player.

I enjoy the game a great deal. Play for an hour or so everyday. That's the key, don't overplay the game.

Why go to Vegas when you can have the casino on your PS4?

I have been enjoying the game alot, usually play 2-3 hours most night when everyone goes to bed. Yes there are issue but they hopefully will address them. Otherwise the game is good and I have been work on some things hitting wise and have been seeing more constant results picked up 7 event wins last night which was much better then the last 2 weeks for sure

Yesterday I played 3 ranked games. First one I got a 1-2-3 top of the first and then hit back to back home runs. The guy quit after. Second game I won 1 to 0. Third game I jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Then the game was tied in the 6th until the 10th where I hit a walk off flair right over the second baseman's head. I was so excited. Such a fun feeling that I don't remember having last year.

And then you have the ones who claim they hate or don't even play the game but somehow make the time to come here and spread their negativity... Weird I tell ya.

I have fun with it. Sparkles who dances over at Diamond Dolls might not be happy with me using "her money" on stubs, but she does forgive easily. God I hope she lived through this.

Great game. Those who complain need to be reminded that if you have a successful plate appearance 30% of the time, you're doing fantastic. The beauty of baseball is tough luck.

Better than 18 not as good as 17. Didn’t play 19 because of being burned out from stacking my line up with players of all the same position for x amount of hits, steals ect from 18

I agree with you guys a lot. The game really does have it's good points. The main things that I wish they would address are the pci outcomes. For instance when you have good timing, the ball is in the center of the pci and just about on top of the top diamond (dot or altitude line depending on user preference) and the result is good/ popped weakly to 2b in shallow right. I have plenty of screenshots of these type of occurrences. Another issue would be perfect release pitches missing spots by a lot. These are just a couple of issues that should be addressed.
I'm a baseball "purist" . I completely understand that extremely well hit balls go to right to fielders sometimes. Yes, guys do whine about CPU defense making great plays far too much. Yes, guys are super negative about things that happen in baseball almost every game. Yes, the devs are having to coordinate with the whole team from home during the pandemic. Yes, the content is great this year.
I have played almost exclusively online (more than 3 or 4 hours a day) since 2011 . In my experience this edition has displayed the most disregard for user input of any previous edition. For me, I just wish SDS would say that they see the gameplay issues and feel that there need to be some changes made to these areas or at least let us know that they feel like the game is playing the way that they intended. They haven't actually addressed the community on these points. They secretly do hot patches under the guise of server maintenance. I have personally seen a decline in custom league gameplay since the last server maintenance.
It's kinda like when you buy a new car. If you pay money for a new car wouldn't you want it to perform the way it was intended? If it didnt would you not complain to the dealer/manufacturer until the issue was resolved or your money was refunded because you bought a lemon? That is the frustration that the complainers are dealing with.

The only issue I have is with every pitcher being a gold glove defensive player lol. The number pf spectacular plays by pitchers are way too high
