Prestige Programs

Anybody see SDS eventually giving some points for offline stats? Just make them a little harder or award fewer points for completing them? A lot of these cards would be fun to play with but I don't think I would have some of them in my lineup regularly.

It's over, Johnny...

I’d like to see them give an offline option too. At first I didn’t care, but now that I have Mantle and his prestige program staring at me, the compeltionist in me wants it done. Sure, at some point I’ll jump into ranked and just quit every few games to keep myself in regular season to easily grind it out, but that is kind of stupid too.

My problem is kind of the opposite. I have had Mantle for a while and am not too far off from he prestige so a guy like Shane Victorino isn't cracking my lineup but it would be fun to use him against CPU for some grinds.

As a mostly offline player it's kind of annoying that prestige stats are online only, but I honestly don't see a more fair way to do it. They're designed to be a grind that takes the average player a fairly long time to earn, not something any idiot can get after mindlessly thumping the computer on rookie for a week.

They should make the same stats for offline but only for All-Star and above difficulties!

I like it the way it is. Makes these cards rare and earned. You only get +3 on each attribute so it's a nice boost but not game breaking.
I'm a couple starts I'll have Oswalt done... But these hitter prestige missions look insane.

I got Shef done last night and Mickey will be done in a few days. That’s with 200+ RS games and a ton of BR to finish them off. It’s a grind.
Biggio is gonna take a lot longer because of the runs you need with him.
Speaking of this, did you see someone discovered prestige Chipper less than a day after the card even came out. Obviously boosting. I don’t care if he’s boosting stats, but if he’s doing that maybe he’s boosting 12-0s?

I can't say about that particular person but I know there are definitely people that do cheat to get 12-0 runs. I was comparing my BB rate to people on the WS leaderboard and I found one player with an incredibly high amount of walks. I checked the game history and it was filled with games in RS and BR where the game log showed intentional walks until they scored 5 runs and then the game would end so clearly something was fishy.

In the 2nd inning I sewed Joe Carter to be a 1B platoon for whenever I go up against Newhouse or any future dominant LHP. I am very proud of the move as I think he'll get more milage on my squad than would Hanley or Feller. Still, the chances of Carter making it to blood diamond in a platoon situation are slim to none.
I'd like to see SDS create some kind of voucher reward (either for Showdown or an event) which would allow us to select a non LS diamond card (or even our CAP) and upgrade to it blood diamond. More choices = happier players.

I think they stay as this is ment to be more of an online calling card then it is a new card to use an play with
