Stage 2 AL Showdown Repeat

I've had zero issues facing him.

I’ve got a question that has maybe been answered before but I missed. Can we keep completing showdown over and over again to get stars to finish each program?

Don’t even try repeating Stage 2 AL Showdown. It is easy the first time. However, if you get Brady Singer for the final boss, just go ahead and quit out. He must be the single greatest pitcher to ever be in MLB The Show. His pitches change direction all over the place. Squaring up a pitch means a pop out. The game is totally rigged. I was popping up with 99 Reggie Jackson and 99 Mickey Mantle, it is so bad. Don’t try getting his pitch counts up, either, as he never tires. Fix your s&$t, Show!
Brady singer is the one I HOPE I get never lost a showdown vs him

Houston guy is the one you want. Do the first three for a few extra bats. He throws a dead middle changeup 70% of the time and you can foul off the fastball if you miss it.

This game is a steaming

I also found singer tough. I had a little trouble with the Yankees guy everyone else had been easy.

Garbage [censored] game

Why is everything a silly [censored] popout?

Showdown single handly killed my love for mlb the show. Not gonna buy mlb 21 anymore this will be my last year playing this game.
-
It was opposite for me. I got Schmidt the first run needing 5 runs for the win and couldn't touch him. Then beat Singer the next 2 times needing 3 and 5 runs.

If your playing with zone hitting, try to switch to directional if your struggling in a showdown. It seems to help sometimes, you quit trying to move the PCI everywhere and just worry about timing.

Do you still use the arrows though? Or just swing? -

Feeling the same. It's too big a part of the game to avoid and too annoying to keep trying.

Do you still use the arrows though? Or just swing?I try to use them, it just seems to me to help you hit the ball a little harder. Holding up on the stick help you get more lift on the ball, so if he's throwing a lot of sinkers it helps you get lift on them. But if you're aiming up and in with your stick and the ball is low and away and you swing anyway you're going to roll over more than likely

I never use directional but may try. Pitchers in Stage 2 are very sinker heavy.

This is about the only time I use it. I usually just push up on the left stick to get lift, I don't even try to push or pull it usually. But like everything some days it works, some it doesn't. And make sure you still work the count though. You don't want to swing at the first pitch every time ( like I usually do lol )
