I mean you could actually spend some time looking these kids up. Watch some footage...

You can say the same thing for legends and HOFers from pre 1990s. How many younger people would have even heard of Larry Doby if it weren't for MLB the Show?

I say, save these cards for the players who have earned, and deserve cards with these ratings. Then, people can actually learn about meaningful baseball history, and not learn about some fantasy prospect who may never even play in the majors.

If you're a true baseball fan, you should absolutely learn who Larry Doby is! Well put.
The direction SDS has taken (away from history, more into this fantasy future cards reminiscent of NBA 2K) is a very bad one.

No sport has even close to an incredible, deep history as baseball does. They have really dropped the ball on utilizing that history.
When The Padres number 2 prospect is much better rated than Bob Feller, something went wrong

MLB PROSPECT LIST RANKINGS; Lodolo MLB #48; Alek Thomas MLB #49, Vidal Brujan MLB #45, Clarke Schmidit MLB #88, Bobby Dalbec Red Sox #3 (Former top 100); Ryan Moutcastle MLB #94, Nolan Jones MLB #42, Dane Dunning White Sox #6 (Top 5 already have diamond cards LOL), Daz Cameron Tigers #7 (Didn't get this one), Brady Singer MLB #59, Alex Kiriloff MLB #32, Jose Ugridy Astros #2, Brandon Marsh MLB #79, Jorge Mateo A's #6 (Former top 100, didn't get this one either), Evan White MLB #56, Josh Jung MLB #55, Kyle Wright MLB #52, Jazz Chizolm MLB #66, Andres Gimenez MLB #84, Adonis Medina Phillies #5 (Former top 100), Luis Garcia MLB #97, Nico Horener MLB #51, Zack Brown Brewers #14 (They don't have a top 100 prospect), Ke'Bryan Hayes MLB #41, Nolan Gorman MLB #47, Ryan Rolison Rockies #2, Brusdar Graterol MLB #83, Taylor Trammell MLB #57 (Former top 10), Heliot Ramos MLB #65.

But let's keep making up things without doing research lol. For a true baseball die hard this series is very very cool!!

As reasons i stated above for true die hard fans it makes no sense... Handing out 90+ attributes to 50-55 graded tools? It's nonsense. At least have the players correlate to scouting reports.

They pumped the wrong players too. Vidal Brujan is way better than Wander Franco LMAO okay.

This is what they did, they looked at a prospect list, looked at the archtype of the player -- then asked themselves what would make a good card for that archtype with zero and I mean ZERO thought about their scouting report or graded tools... That's not cool.

The prospect series should have been used for these guys. Total no brainer.
With the highest being an 89 or so.

The future stars cards and ratings should have been used for guys like Wander Franco, Bo Bichette, Vlad Jr., Torres, Tatis, Devers, Lux, Soto, Moncada, Alonso, etc.

The FotF should have been used for more established guys that need a higher rated card to be competitive..
Guys like Gallo, Ohtani, Seager, Molina, Anderson, etc.

It's absolutely backwards and a total mess how they did it instead

Devers isnt a future star... He's a current star 😜

    2019:
    129 R, 32 HR, 115 RBI, .311 AVG, .916 OPS

But yeah, pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Ya I know, but it would give him a beefed up card to be competitive. Like a 93 rated. Which fans would love to use way more than a 3B prospect most of those fans never heard of!

Just about everyone knows Dalbec, he was being pumped as the 1B this year which is why they ignored the position. Pumped on radio/tv too.

Now a Triston Casas prospect card? He would be less heard of for casual fans but sign me up baby.

Chavis could get a FS or Verdugo.

But yeah you got the right idea. Totally on board.

It's like a finest card, but one you can use before November when nobody cares anymore! Lol

A true baseball fan should for sure know about him. He’s so important to the game we love.

The future stars in real packs are guys like bichette or mike soroka. Kyle Wright is a good prospect and a reasonable selection for a FS but he likely should of been a prospect instead of drew waters. ( I stead of 2 OF for the Braves in that set)

These cards will be good for one month maybe more. We will get 99 feller, we will get sig series larry doby. I don't think you guys understand what would happen if all the sigs and 99's came out right now. It would be MLB 18 all over again. Once we get to august, you have your endgame team.

The only thing I wish SDS did, was making fs stage one and fof stage two. But I still like what they did.
