Why did they do this to me

I love this game. Bought it every year since 2007 and I have loved diamond dynasty even though it has some frustrating gameplay. I’ve been a good player - not great but able to win in ranked seasons to be a championship series player in the past. This year though, I can’t even get to Pennant race. I just got perfect gamed in a 1-0 walk off loss by Bob Feller and struck out 22 times. Such a travesty that to have any fun playing the game I’d have to buy a gaming monitor. Dammit man. This is insane. What can I do without dropping two hundred bucks on a monitor? I’m done with the game
-
U don't need a monitor, u just need practice. I made world series playing on a projector screen. Go into custom practice and time up the fastball on legend with pitch sliders all the way up. That's what helped me catch up to all the pitch speeds on HOF. It's all about practice
-
Get a monitor. If not just quit the game. It’s a whole different game on a monitor. I went from flailing like a blind man in showdowns and beating it 3 out of 20 times to beating it at a 95% clip after I switch to a cheap monitor I had laying around. It’s night and day. I went from can’t see a fastball to having to wait back so I’m not very early on them.
If it monitor vs tv there’s almost no skill involved in winning that one when playing on a monitor.
-
You don't need a monitor to have fun.
A gecko is just as good.
-
Curious about this, is it any normal computer monitor? Or is there something special people are using?
-
[censored]. I’ve got a monitor and I made WS every season the last two years until this year. The gameplay in RS is absolutely abhorrent. It’s literally depressing and dismal. I played the event for three days and I started feeling pretty positive about the game, not perfect but playable and even - just a little - fun. Got to 50 wins so I jumped back into RS and oh, look, I’m sick of the game again already. It only takes a couple of games and I can feel the urge to send SDS negative feedback reports and complaints. I find myself in threads like these posting about how terrible the game is this year and vowing to myself I won’t buy it next year. It’s RS. It’s absolutely garbage. Don’t play it and hopefully they’ll try to fix it somehow. Don’t buy a monitor, it won’t help you at all. They have individual settings that they tweak in the background for each mode and this year they’ve totally ruined the only mode where you can play a nine inning game with your diamond dynasty cards. Makes my blood boil, it’s the only mode I want to play. Off to send more negative feedback now about the state of the gameplay. Thanks RS.

5 MS reaction time or delay or whatever it’s called is the key. It suck because now I’m playing on a 26 inch instead of a 70 inch but it’s worth it. Also being wired is a big advantage online over wifi.

I’ve stopped playing the game and I love baseball. This game is an embarrassment year after year. Especially this year.
I can’t support them anymore.

Just curious, is it the state of fielding, or because it’s pointless trying to hit the ball unless you have an adderall prescription, or just the whole terrible package?

I’ve played you before ComeBackLogic and beat you. Must of been the adderall.
Everyone’s beaten me at least once. Most people beat me once a day.

No, honestly, I was being serious. I hate the game, lol. I literally feel like a grade school kid facing a full fledged MLB pitcher on HoF. I have no clue how my opponents are hitting the ball, I’m convinced everyone is just swinging as early as possible without aiming the PCI and getting randomly lucky on meatballs and the only people who are enjoying the game are top 50 goons who complained that legend difficulty was too easy in ‘19. I don’t understand it all. I think maybe it’s just me. So when I see a thread like this that appears to validate my complaints with the game, I do wonder how many people are going through a similar experience.
I have wired internet, a 4ms monitor and kontrol freeks etc. I seriously doubt there’s anyone on this forum who’s played as many games or innings in RS as I have in the last few years, I do have a massive amount of experience playing the mode, I’ve played the life out of it every year. It’s my opinion that something is seriously wrong with it this year. It’s not a case of needing to get better or focus. It’s almost impossible to even make contact. I’m striking out 15-20 times per game, sometimes more. I just don’t understand. -

I’ve always had a good record and still do this year considering that almost every game I faced a God Squad.
It’s just ironic that the year they say that “Skill will matter more than ever before” is the year that skill means nothing.
All RNG, luck, bad feedback, errors, etc... you already know the issues

Something about Ranked Seasons feels completely different from how the rest of the game plays. Offline HoF, league HoF, and events HoF feel completely different than RS HoF.

"Skill means nothing", and yet Rebel is still at the top of the leaderboard. Glad he was able to succeed without wasting his skill this year. He can save it up for next year.

I’m winning about as much as I ever did, maybe slightly more, actually. I’m about 50 games above .500 and I can enjoy a good game, win or lose. It’s not as simple as winning = game good, while losing = game bad. I’m winning, but I’m not enjoying the game. That’s the problem. It’s just ridiculous on so many levels. If I’m feeling like this, what do new players, possibly without gaming monitors and so on think to it? I notice SDS ensure that hitting is always set to veteran for promo streams so that it looks like hitting is normal when you see the game. I’d love to see them showcasing 17 scoreless innings of strikeouts finally decided by a fluke early homer, walk, steal and then late jammed bloop hit, or classic inside the park homer on a can of corn play. Because that’s the game I got for $100 as a RS player.

If I wanted to play the game the way it’s not meant to be played, devote all my free time to having a god squad, working the market like an economics professor, buy a monitor, purposely foul off every pitch with Contact swing not to strike out on pitches 8 ft in the dirt, hit very early/ok contact for homeruns, capitalize on other people getting screwed by errors and other problems with this game, etc.... I would do it too.
Is it fun and does it resemble real baseball?
Absolutely Not! so no thank you. Enjoy Mlb The [censored] Show 2020!

SDS turns his sliders all the way up on offense. Pitching, not so much.
