Guess we're going to have every team get multiple fake unproven minor league talent FS cards.
Thanks for ruining all live and historical aspects of MLB The Show.
Nostalgia? Na... Let's just skin a bunch of [censored], throw some MiLB player names on them via fishbowl lottery. Let's destroy LS cards value. Let's make legends, flashbacks and HOF players obsolete.
Your decision making team is absolutely retarded and out of touch.
Go make a MiLB version of this game, and shove all your fake [censored] cards there. Let all the fools play with fake guys in fake stadiums with fake attributes.
You guys suck. That's about it. Have a great weekend.
At least now I don’t feel the need to buy headliners anymore
-
This is all going to pass. It’s dumb and I don’t like it, but there are positives to getting this out of the way early. The rest of the year will just be legends and flashbacks that will eventually make these cards obsolete instead.
-
It is future starts week, so I am guessing we won't see anymore released like this. Legends and flashbacks will be overpowering them in a few weeks. RELAX
-
They should have a DD mode and a MiLB mode. Keep these cards separate.
Let people spend time and money between those two modes.
This is INSULTING to players all the way from Trout down to Willians Astudillo.
-
In before banned... 🤪
-
Jeez...you're so triggered. DD is a fantasy mode no one drew the line at 1918 Legends. They're not doing a bad job of creatively releasing content during a year in which there's no baseball. Maybe they figured they'd look into the future during a lost year. You honestly need to chill the hell out.
-
They noticed everyone using minor league stadiums and thought we all must love MiLB.

These minor leagues are making maybe a couple hundred thousand a year if they were high draft picks. Trout is making $35 million a year. I can guarantee he doesn't care what anyone's video game stats are.

Move on bro. It’s not healthy for yo mentals as Marshawn Lynch would say.

Exactly. Fighting over minor leaguer stats because they are not authentic, but being ok with players from the 1920s playing on the same team as players from the 2020s.
-
How are people actually that mad about this? Maybe I’m a different breed, but this entire game is just a fantasy land of made up cards and ratings. Chill.

Not the same at all.
At least the guys from the 1920’s earned their ratings by being some of the best players of their era.
Most of these Future Star cards aren’t even top 50 prospects, yet they’re getting 90-95 overall cards. I’d have no issues with them if they maxed out at 90-91 for the very top prospects, like the actual prospect cards we already had. These Future Star cards didn’t take any minor league stats or prospect rankings into account, they just got random attributes and overalls based on whatever SDS thought looked good.
Nick Madrigal should never be “predicted” to be a 95. Kevin Smith will never be close to a 90. Check back in 4-5 years and I guarantee you almost none of these Future Stars will be even close to the overall that SDS has given them.

I had a feeling something like this was going to happen around the time last year that they released an Adam Jones card in Headliner Packs that was better than Trout. From that point through the end of the game cycle there were some cards released that just didn’t make sense attribute wise because they had to push packs and get people to keep grinding.
I’m aware it’s a video game and it’s never going to be 100% realistic, but they could at least try to stick to cards that are based on stats and projections. It seems like all that goes out the window so they can put out a new shiny object for people to chase.
I don’t understand why they can’t come up with a general outline of all of the cards they will release throughout the year (besides new POTM, Topps Now, and Finest) and just release them in an order that ramps up in talent and makes sense. That way you don’t need to release prospect cards with ridiculous ratings so they can compete online against a 99 Kluber that’s getting thrown out there every other game. That would also eliminate the problem of Live Series cards being obsolete within a week of release.
I know there were complaints about cards coming in too late to 18, but there has to be a balance we can find.
There are people that feel pretty strongly opposed to my view because I’ve seen them talk about it on the forum, but that’s my opinion...

It looks like you’re lost, Reddit is two doors to the left.
I'll call trash when I see it. There's many issues with this year's game and trust me this is the last thing worth fighting. Sorry to burst your misery session,
Clown emoji? Go back to Instagram my guy. Gameplay and content are two separate things. Just because you think gameplay is bad, doesn’t mean content isn’t equally as bad, just in a different way.
Ok wallow in your pity and enjoy the b1tch fest with your ilk on this forum. I won't interrupt your cry session again,
Keep crying about gameplay, I’ll keep crying about bad content. Deal?

I like this idea, maybe move it to the forums. We can have forums for normal people that enjoy playing and talking about the game, and a “minor league” forum for all you people that incessantly complain about every. single. thing.
