Worst L&F Drop Ever

But hey - if you wanted to be cheesy and flip for profit - Hank Thompson was the obvious buy pre-collection.
He's a Finest card and hes excluded from the Any Headliner pack everyone got.
You could've bought 5 of him at 50k, sold them for 220k.
Now people are gonna say "not everyone is a no lifer who watches the market like that". But...if you want the reward and dont wanna grind a lot, its pretty darn easy
-
And after all that - its still easy.
Who defines what is easy to accomplish in the game?
You, whose profile shows over 1000 hours played?
Capardo whose profile shows 352 hours played?
Me, whose profile shows 190 hours? Is it defined by guys who have hundreds, if not thousand of pages of completed market transactions or the one with under 100 pages (or my 24 pages)? The person who spends all day on the app flipping or the one who only uses the market on the console?
Easy, like grind, is a relative term.
While some people definitely expect things to be handed too them for little or no effort, the flipside is also true in that we have hard core players and card flippers who want to act like their experience with the game should be the norm for everyone.

@Dolenz_PSN hey, I'm not making fun of anyone for not "100 percenting" this game. Good for them - they probably did something way less maddening instead.
Im just saying the standard for what it means to "100 Percent" a game has gone WAY down.

As someone who gave up on the game prob at all star break.
I did not find it "easy" to keep up. Since 2020 I've always kept up, always completed live series, always played the full year.
I did the Ketel and Jram collections early on but kindve gave up on live series to do it. Then idk if it was bellinger at asg but you needed all these extra 60-80k stub cards to unlock him and they were all cards I don't think I would ever use. I didn't even do the miggy or vmart stuff for the same reason.
I was actually keeping up with spotlight more than past years assuming a nice collection card there.
Maybe the content was super redundant. Back in the day I would do the BR grind and earn alot of stubs that way.
Flipping was dumb this year cause you couldn't use the app and it seemed like the instant you placed a bid it was beat or whatever. I'm assuming bots which made it feel like not worth my time.
Diamond quest is terrible.
So it's like conquest and mini season homework on repeat and it's just not fun or motivating.
So it's not "hard" to mash mini seasons on rookie to farm packs but that just didn't bring me to my Playstation and the cheating and toxic behavior in online play makes that super hard to really get into. Constant dashboarding if you hit a hr.
I Def did not find the whole year "easy" to play on any capacity

Is there a way to see 2025 time played in DD?

My 25 link doesn't seem to work, I'd be curious how much more I played last year

Is that because, as you like to say, people complained or is it because SDS shortened programs so that they could put more of the cards in packs?
Some past programs were grindy for the sake of being grindy. I always have to point out the old POTM programs.
Do this to earn the first card
Put that card in your lineup and earn XP
Earn second card
Put that Card in your lineup and earn XP
Earn 3rd card
Rinse and Repeat.try this link and enter your user id

There has been absolutely NOTHING written in this thread that in any way justifies anyone insulting another. There are some people at this forum who need to grow up and accept being able to read things they may not agree with without coming across in a condescending tone.

Good grief.
This thread man, eek. -
My view on this is that SDS long ago sold their soul to morph a baseball video game into something, more like a virtual commodity trading site. The problem is that doing that has also changed the focus of a number of customers, from discussing the actual quality of the game itself in terms of how the game engine and graphics replicate the real game of baseball, and into the quality of virtual trinkets.
Concepts like improving how players look in the game, how the ball reacts to the grip, rotation, and velocity of the pitcher, and how the bat reacts to the ball -- those are the areas that need focus. This because SDS has fallen well short of where today's sports video games are at.
You play MLB The Show and the presentation is soulless. It rains in the game and all the players look like they are playing in sunshine. The field lacks all concept of being wet, no influence on the ball and certainly no rain effects like splashes, mud, or rooster tails. Other sports video games played outdoors? The rain impacts how the gameplay flows, you see rain caused effects, not only on physical appearances, but most critically on how objects interact.
So, with respect, when I see so many threads devoted to the quality of player cards, and see so few discussing the antiseptic nature of the actual game, it makes me sad.

Shoot man, until they update their engine entirely I don't want those things. Playing conquest on a base PS5 last night and I was still dealing with Logos not appearing on my shirt or hat, laggy or Framey control on the Metered pitching screen (the one that that absolutely needs to be smooth), and Slowdowns/lag while batting, most commonly after hitting a HR.
So don't improve the graphics unless they upgrade the entire engine to handle it better. Upgrading the graphics on the current engine is just begging for disaster.

The servers remain awful. Im playing Event games that feel like Legend, where really good players are striking out two out of every three at bats - because pitches teleport at light speed

Is that the issue? Because I’ve been having games where I legit can’t hit and feel like I can’t see the ball… then other games where I go crazy.

100% my experience.

I’m too old to tell. I have all the good equipment and just track the ball and swing. But I can’t tell why / what’s going on in those games I stink in. Always think it’s my eyes or my brain.
