Ranked Cheating is at Unprecedented Levels

@sbchamps17_NSW this post wasn’t in response to a personal loss. It was in response to looking at the top 50 leaderboard and it being impossible to have over a .700 batting average in ranked on legend difficulty. Averages absolutely indicate cheating when the ratings are that high and the games are played on legend.

@NotesOfJohn_PSN I agree that most people are coping. This was in response to looking at the Top 50 leaderboard of the current season not a personal loss. There is absolutely cheating going on. Even the person that just won SDS’s tournament isn’t hitting .600 on legend.

I was at 900 rating right after the start of this last ranked session.
I played a guy that was 18-0 hitting .900 with all of his mediocre cards earned on the fresh account.
He was very obviously cheating haha. This was the most blatant case I’d ever seen. Not even a half of a check swing on any pitch out of the zone and PP absolutely cracked HR every single time you clip the zone haha.

My buddy and I play a lot of Ranked Co-Op and we played a team last week ranked in the 500’s. We got 12 outs and really don’t know how. They run ruled us in 4 with 26 runs. Everything they hit was PP and out of the park. I have a hard time believing that a team in the 500’s can make that kind of contact without something nefarious going on. Cronus Zen maybe. I don’t know but when you play someone that’s supposed to be close to your rating and do that, makes you not want to play. Is that what you want SDS? -
There are certainly accounts that you can easily tell are cheating from the stats. However, it usually doesnt affect the people coming in to complain.
So? Are you really A-OK with cheaters so long as they don't actually take something from you?

Dam, the SDS defenders team came out hard on this post
player's have being cheating in this game since 2020. And a handful of players including me have been being this up over the years. And now look. SDS and the youtubers and SDS defender swept it under the rug and they still are. And there is proof everywhere of it happening. But they aren't going to do a dam thing about it because it doesn't hit their dam wallets. -

There seem to be two camps though.
Camp 1: The game is full of cheaters. It is at unprecedented levels. Everyone is doing it. I can't even find a legit game anymore.
Camp 2: This game definitely has some cheaters but I am not convinced it is as widespread as Camp 1 thinks
Many of us have been here for years and have seen, countless times, where people come in to the forum hot and exaggerate their claims or flat out lie to try and illustrate their point.
So yes, there is cheating in the game. Nobody denies that. We are not defenders simply because we don't 100% agree with those complaining every single time one of them post a complaint

It's so very small minded (and weird) to take a differing opinion on the scale of cheating as some sort of defence of SDS.
I daresay it's the same mentality exhibited by those who cry 'cheat' whenever they lose.......🤭

The problem is, in Weekend League World Series Level or above, there are hundreds of dollars of stubs at stake each month.

@Dolenz_PSN I’ll admit my wording is probably hyperbolic. My unprecedented levels title isn’t that I’m running into a cheater every game, I’ve just never seen the top 50/100 leaderboard so infested with these overinflated numbers. The lack of updates this year has left me a bit bitter and the inaction taken against fairly brazen cheating is sad. A lot of the cheaters aren’t even afraid to hide it anymore with .750+ averages on legend difficulty. I’m just hoping for some sort of punishment that is equal to the ban they handed out for 3rd party stub buying.

The cheating in ranked has gotten completely out of control. Almost half of the top 50 players are blatantly cheating. They aren't even hiding it. Averages in the .600-.800s. @sds_joek_psn are there any plans to take action against these accounts? It's really dissatisfying/discouraging playing in an online environment where cheating is not punished.
Don't listen to these people on here. This is part of the reason cheating is so bad. It is bad in every online video game. Got this way because Microsoft and Sony don't want to spend the money to combat it. I have a hard time believing these 3rd party device devs are smarter than people working for Microsoft/Sony.
That being said I haven't thought I lost to a cheater in probably 90% of my games. That doesn't mean it isn't a huge problem in the gaming industry because it is. Looking forward to playing GTA 6 single player where I don't have to worry about this [censored] especially in shooters where it is really prevalent.

I just don't think it is as common place, especially when you go down into lower rankings, as many claim.
I have been here many years and the sheer number of times I have read tirades about opponents cheating or SDS rigging the game has made me a bit jaded to these claims.
People who have been around know that I am not a defender. Very few here complained more about their apparent lack of action against those who exploited the WBC glitch than I. You can go back 3 years or so and find posts by me about the slow but inevitable march towards extreme monetization. Very few paid attention then but they certainly do now.

I don’t think it happens much at all. I would guess only people that are pretty serious gamers that have a streaming setup next to their console would even consider going through the effort.
From what I understand you need a PC to do it. This is beyond the Cronus.

Turn off crossplay if you’re on a PS5. Majority is always Xbox or PC players.

Listen sonny. It used to fire me up to lose online but now I could care less. What I posted was just what happened in our game. Nothing I said was overblown. I just find it very hard for a team in Co-Op rated in the 500’s to hit that many PP in 4 innings. Out. -
I get very suspicious when there is excessive pausing and then they blast one.

I think I've played the show 1 Friday in the last two months and I was bored to death and felt like I wasted a Friday.
So many things caused me not to play anymore including the cheating. I quit playing online before I quit playing all together. I actually canceled my live ps membership.
I found that because of all the cheating noise I ended up feeling like EVERYONE was cheating. Like if I lost or someone rattled off some consecutive at bats.... "this cheating is some bs".... I know everyone isn't cheating but you play online and now you almost by default feel like nothing is on the up and up. Then if you do play better than your opponent they just dashboard and quit. Either way it's such a terrible experience.
I don't really blame sds so much as that just humans suck. The one discord Kyle showed is like 30k paid subscribers to cheat at a game. Assuming there are more sources than the one discord.
Idk, seems like a lost cause at this point.
Maybe if they overhaul franchise or create a DD online franchise where I don't have to play other humans then I'll buy that but I don't see the motivation for the show 27 as it stands now and I've been pretty loyal die hard DD guy since 2020
