Retro Championship Series Program Cards
-
I have to say as long as we are focusing on current playoff teams my interest is not getting piqued.
That's just me though. I assume people will be happy with Vlad and Verlander at least
-
The lack of NL cards is an interesting choice
-
Is there really any reason to drag out that Noel card for the third straight year? he hit .121 in the minors this year
Johnkensy Noel has gotten 3 99s since the last time Duke Snider got a card above a 91.
-
Verlander… YES
Bailey…YES ex Giants
The rest blah -
Cause when you think great playoff performances, you cant help but think...Jhonkensy Noel. He's the new Bob Hamelin.
-
And.....isn't he a switch hitter???
-
I’m usually a very easy going guy but making me, a lifelong Dodgers fan, relive the Wizard’s homerun (7 or 8 times) was very sadistic and I do not appreciate it. I don’t care if the new Busch Stadium is kinda nice instead of one of those awful Astro-Turf-shared-football-fields. Hey, remember Jim Hart, though? Great QB. And Brock Stewart in for poor Tom Niedenfuer was a nice touch. Wasn’t Jack’s call great, too? Go crazy!!! He was the only announcer I held in as high a regard as Vin. A wonderful man. And thanks for not having Jack Clark in sight anywhere. I do thank you for that. What was I saying? Okay, bye.

Is there something special about this Jhonesky Noel fella that they keep putting this card in the games? Does he have a great swing? Is he like a right-handed Yordan? Gemini (AI) advises not using him because his swing is very slow and sluggish. I'm pretty sure that I used him in a few vs cpu games (edit in '25) and felt that way too.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN i remember the year they actually dropped that card and hes terrible couldn’t hit water if i fell off a boat with his swing.
-
My bad, for some reason I thought he was a switch hitter, that's why I thought we kept seeing this terrible card year in and year out
-
Honestly, it’s a big let down. I was hoping for a rather large program with 15-20 cards. That would’ve been cool.

@Dolenz_PSN
Exactly right. The retro programs should have featured cards (and missions, too) from teams that did NOT make the playoffs. When Retro Wild Card had Miami and Texas, that’s where I thought they were going with that…but no. -
Its just crazy that all the history of the NLCS/ALCS and they come up with only 4 cards. And one of those is Noel.
