CPU absolutely cheats on this setting. After fouling off endless pitches that were very late, basically in the catchers glove, then leading to a HR, I’m done ever trying this bs mode.
I was up 4-0 after the 1st inning and wouldn’t you know the CPU magically started fouling off a million pitches, with multiple fresh guys, and then hitting no doubt HRs to end up winning.
If the goal was to drive players away from this mode for good. Mission accomplished. I don’t mind losing but not when it’s clearly rigged like that.

Agreed better get smt better than this waste of space next year or atleast make it easier. I’m a good player and I still hate this mode. Maybe bring ta back.

That is why in DQ you have to run an entire bunt squad line up. Bunt and steal your way to victory..

Oh I was doing that and doing it well and then the CPU started fouling off everything in and out of the zone. Some that didn’t even touch the bat via replay. Which led to multiple home runs on pitches that magically warped dead center or were dotted and crushed.
Ultimately I was able to take it into extra innings and win in the 4th but it was painfully close, extremely scripted feeling, and the opposite of fun. Enough to convince me to not want to try again. Sure I can buy the cards but playing to sell them seems like a lesson in torture.
