I've been messing around with the dimensions and such of created stadiums and after creating all manner of stadiums, IMO, it doesn't seem to matter what your walls and altitudes are.

Now, first, this is strictly franchise mode only. I do not play DD, so I have no clue if these things make any difference in that mode.

Second, I'm talking about home runs only. Obviously if you have a 440 center wall, you're going to hit a bunch more doubles and triples.

All that being said, here's what I see:

All the home runs are canned. They all fly the same paths and it doesn't matter what stadium you hit them in. The only thing that changes is the distance. If you have a 320 foot wall in left-center, the home runs will be around 350ft.. If you have 420 foot walls, the home runs are going to be 450 ft..

If you create one of those 'home run' stadiums, where the walls are little league dimensions and the altitude is 5000ft., you're only going to hit homers that top out around 400ft. (not to say it's not possible to hit a 500 footer, but it hasn't happened to me). If you build an absolute colossus, with maxed out walls and 1 ft. altitude, you're going to hit the same number of homers. All the distances are going to be 470+ ft..

So, I posit that the size of the stadium has nothing to do with the number and ease of hitting homers, only the distances that they fly.

Has anyone tested this and seen otherwise?

@StinkyMcPooter_XBL The other night I was playing Trade Deadline MS using a couple of my custom stadiums- one set in the Blackhills in North Dakota(Max elevation), and the other set in Lafayette, LA(like, 23 feet I think?) with standard fences in both places...didn't seem to notice a difference.

What I do notice with shorter porches is the "power" seems to scale to the park. I tested this by taking costco and lowering the elevation to zero. In my Lafayette stadium I had four 90+ exit velo flyouts, where the PCI was just under the ball and they all were caught about 30ish feet in front of the wall. In my modified Costco, I could only muster 3 90+ exit velo flyouts with the PCI just under the ball, fairly identical swings...and they landed about 30ish feet in front of the wall
