Hitting is horrible and so boring now

For normal players with the PS5 and original controllers, this game has gotten real boring to play head to head online. No hitting and only like 1 or 2 runs scored all game for both teams combined is terrible. Then you get hooked up with someone that has all the extra bells and whistles that can smash anything you throw, no matter where you throw it, and even way out of the strike zone. I guess this game will never be fun again unless you spend a fortune to get that latest and greatest components and accessories.

I think components and accessories make only a marginal at best difference unless you are talking about monitors then yes those do make a huge difference compared to play on your TV.
I think it's more likely the gameplay of the game itself, internet connection for both sides, then your controller and possibly you could be running into some players that are not good at the game but really good at cheating.
