Content creators held to different standards?

@KenKen71412_MLBTS Im in agreement with this. They have no idea how much of their player base they have ticked off royally over the past two years. Its now coming to a head.
-
Wonder why they've refused to do a live? Because they know this game is a rip off and they don't want their likeness attached to it.
I'm stretching on that one... maybe.
Honestly no drops since the all star game have warranted one.
They catch [censored] every stream so I am not sure why all of a sudden post all star. Maybe one or the other took some vacation time after the all star game.
There could be a myriad of reasons.
-
They know exactly what they're doing. As a company they have no idea what next year brings, same as us fans. Their mistake was trying to cover 2 years worth of gaming profit in an 8 month period. If they really knew their fan base then they would have known we would support them through any stike or lockout but NOT through this complete BS.
-
If anyone was around for the Grind99 days, when it actually meant something, you'll know what I mean.

They're still trying to give players time to come up with the million stubs to complete the all star game collection.

I gotta admit, I got really tired of Ramone's "Grind 99" routine on the streams

I need a million plus stubs right now for 6 Cardinal Players

The meaning of it was well intended and true. Even if overplayed and 'slightly' overbearing. Lol But if you grinded you could get the cards
Now you have to grind, plus work 3 jobs, take out a second mortgage, and hope the bots don't take over to have a chance.

The bots are the single biggest problem here. Without them, I would easily be capped on stubs with every card in the game. Even with them, I do have 3 mill and Beltran... and I only play 1-2 hours per day.
But I also play "market simulator", as it's something I find to be fun.

We all saw a number of content creators exploit the recent glitch with 0 consequence. That alone raised some eyebrows.
But lately I’ve also been seeing some other really questionable things on YouTube and X. I won’t name names, but we’re talking about promoting third-party stub sites and advertising doing ranked/WC/1000 runs for people.
How is any of that okay? The same people who are constantly calling out cheaters are promoting things that are also cheating or against TOS.
I’m all for enforcing the rules, but these rules need to apply to everyone, whether you’re a content creator or just an average player. Otherwise it sends the message that some people are playing by a different set of rules.
Why not name names? Seriously! If people are engaging in illegal behavior, then why should they get one ounce of tolerance or room to breath? Name them. Name every single one of them. Report them by name and challenge SDS to hold them to legal account and prosecution.
I'll continue to call out SDS for their betrayal of customers, but criminals deserve zero tolerance.

YFK is the main one people usually mention. He openly done the WBC glitch, advertises 3rd party resellers on his channel and told SDS in no uncertain terms to do something about it, I dare you.
SDS knows they just refuse to do anything about it.
He also went from bashing the game to singing it's praises ever since SDS sent out their 'we're coming for you' tweet. Cioncidence?

They tweeted at him??
And screw it, I didn’t want to call people out but:
YFK and Trodd? (Think that’s his name) did the glitch
pitching_rebel is posting about doing WC/WS/1000 runs for people on X and in his videos
OhChev is promoting 3rd party stubs now in his videos.I’m seriously done with content creators and 95% of this community.
-
They didn't tweet directly at him, but they tweeted something to the nature of 'those that took part in the WBC glitch will have repercussions comings'.
YFK released a short video basically daring SDS. 'If they come after me, I've got something for them' type video.I'll try to find it. Not direct quotes but that's the jest of it.

I'll never understand grownass men streaming video games

It's very profitable if you get the audience and can get sponsorships.
Not hard to understand why someone would want to stay at home and just play games and make more money than many of us do/did working normal jobs.
That said it is rare to find that type of success streaming but it is a dream for many
-
@Dolenz_PSN Oh I hear ya, but only a very few make that kind of money. I'm talking the mindset to want to do that. How much estrogen is pumping through you to say, "Babe, I'm just going to sit here and play games all day and act like a child while making goofy faces for my thumbnails. Better yet I'll use AI to make my beard look better"
-
@SkunkyTrees7615_XBL it's no different than people wanting to be actors, singer/musicians, artists or writers.
I mean, even at 62 I will watch some game streamers and YouTubers. I stay away from the toxic ones though and do it mostly to get previews and impressions of games that I am interested in or have never heard of before.

This exactly. I would never actually stream video games - and I’m sick of the toxic ones. But every so often it’s cool to load up a YouTube video of the new updates or check out a stream.
For streams lately I’ve only watched RoFlo, Ashley, and Mangoes.
YouTube I’m giving up on because I can’t find anyone who isn’t complaining, selling third party stubs, offering to do Ranked runs for you, etc.
-
@Dolenz_PSN It is different from those things. You have to get up, get dressed and leave the house for those jobs. Like I said...it all goes back to mindset. I'd rather dig ditches
