Been flipping since 19 and got banned SDS help
-
I was banned for flipping diamond equipment. Right underneath this forum it says community market buy low sell high. Literally what I was doing. If you look at my whole account I started with silver jerseys then moved onto gold bats then moved onto the diamond equipment. I have been doing the same thing since 2019. No stub transferring no bots all me on the app and also on my console. With the 20 item limit it hasn’t even been as much as prior years. I do not understand. In the ban email it said stub transferring which I 100% was not doing and market manipulation. I do not understand. I put up orders for 10-20 items at a time. They all sell to me then I post them all for sale When they sell I do it again. Same thing for 6 years. There is a post on Twitter/X I made about this. Very open about what I did it has over 300k views with everyone basically saying they do the same thing. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. SDSJOE I was told to ask for you in the forums

@sds_joek_psn - looks like the OP can use your help if you’re available

Don't bother with a ticket because on Twitter other people have been banned for a year for the same thing and the ticket only confirmed what they did, it's stupid and ridiculous that you can't flip equipment anymore. They just really don't want you to make stubs

That’s not it. You can flip and I was mistakenly restricted earlier in the year and they reversed it and confirmed that flipping is fine. What happens, my assumption - is people transfer stubs on diamond equipment items. And then if you sell one and a stub transfer person buys it - you’re flagged as being part of that stub transfer. Even if you weren’t intending to be.
I’d like to believe the OP is innocent, and if he was flipping and someone cheating the system bought his items… that’s not his fault.
Hopefully someone can look into this for him and reverse it if he’s innocent.

Déjà vu… if you are still able to buy/sell on console but not companion app, you are most likely restricted for one week and that’s that. Sucks, unfair, not fun, lame. Happened to me a couple months ago and I wish there was a forum post telling me at the time that going full Karen and whining for answers and explanations would be a total waste of time because it was. Im not certain, but I think these restrictions where you can’t access cards on the mobile app are not related to the new filters put in place on the app for bot prevention. I actually think they aren’t coordinated at all. The last few weeks have been awful in the marketplace and it seems absurd to try and assign any kind of parameters to identify unusual marketplace activity. What seemed normal was 100% bot fueled activity.
In short, if you can’t use the app but can use the market on console - your restriction will go away in a week. It happened to me and it happened to many others that came to the forums asking wth. Trying to do anything about it will just make you more frustrated. -
Again multiple people also got banned for flipping equipment and no it's not a mistake

Probably because they sold equipment that got bought by someone transferring stubs. It’s not a ban for flipping. I agree SDS has to do a better job at realizing who is using bots and stub transferring without innocent flippers getting nailed.

OP described my exact process. SDS doesn't seem to know what it is looking at.
