Strange new marketplace activity

Yessir, that's the one. Thank you!

Y’all are over thinking this. To flip cards for a profit, you need to buy a card then sell a card. You need the highest buy bid and the lowest sell bid. Sometimes you can put a bunch of orders in and wait, but to be competitive, you need to be present and actively putting in bids. The bots are always present and always putting in bids. They don’t make mistakes and they don’t miss a beat. It doesn’t matter if they can buy 2 or 20 at a time. If you aren’t able to buy or sell because you are constantly outbid, you’re not able to flip - or even sell dupes at any kind of profit - or buy things at any kind of price where you could flip for a profit. The whole thing is corrupted because it’s suppose to be human vs human vs human except there’s automated bots that can see multiple cards at once and input/delete bids faster then humans can even reload current price sheets. It’s unfair - period.

@KenKen71412_MLBTS they also said PCI Shrinkage would be removed, not "worked on". They also said the All Star Game MVP was going to be in a pack, but nope, a pretty ridiculous collection, WITH a 98 Bellinger in it lol. Notice they haven't had any The show live since that announcement live on the air? If you believe anything they say at this point, nobody can help you lol.
Thats what I mean when I say lies upon lies, if it's not silence it's lies

This game is so much fun... bots everywhere, market not moving at all, glitchy home screens..... this is directly on par with 2018 now.
Trying to move gold equipment is like pulling teeth now, 38 orders on every card.
-
When is this stub flash sale gonna end? LS Ohtani and Judge prices have been severely inflated since the 50% off sale started.
-
@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN NEVER!! After this one there is going to be a stubbier stub sale!
'F your experience, give me all your money' - SDS clowns

SDS, "we arnt responsible for the marketplace beign in the state it is now"
Also SDS "heres a shiny new Chase card for 500k, please go buy stubs, spend your money on stubs"
-
Marketplace place is an over/hyper Inflated mess right now. The game should be opening up more now. It's almost as it's contracting. I don't think I have seen this many +300k cards since I started playing this game. It's definitely a squeeze play by SDS. Price for Ohtani is ridiculous for this time of the year. It's just pushing new customers away who are picking up the game for the first time because the price of the game is cheaper. Extremely insane strategy.
-
Another thing, if anybody needs to know what SDS's intention with everything, it's that freaking red draft card. There was no point to it other than to create fomo. I swear I will never buy another mlb the show title if that card appears in a collection.
-
@Parr99_XBL It is 100% bots. They ruin the market for the rest of us
-
Guessing we are just bagging the market at this point? Did Manu just give up? He was making a good effort about a month ago to fight the bots but has he now waived the white flag?
-
I still see all of the usual problems plus some new strange activity of many orders to sell right near the quick sale value.
-
Like I said yesterday, the market is lost to us. The bots have won

Just for fun, imagine being a parent and your kid comes and says "Hey dad, can I use the card on Playstation to get my 2 favorite players on MLB the Show?" And $1500 later...
Completely hypothetical. Kids don't play this game. I coach middle school football and they all refer to it as Coache's geezer game.
Side note: From here on out, I will be referring to this game as...
MLB the Show Me the Money '26. -
Every single order, buy and sell has a bot 1 above or below me. This has been the biggest pain in the a$$ to deal with.

MLB the Show Me the Money '26.Your monetary figure may be greatly inflated, but the gist of your post isn't a theory at all. I have no doubt it's a very real problem carrying itself out in families across the world. The result is strife within the family unit, and parents losing trust in their children.
Of course, SDS carries a lot of blame on this. They designed this game to reward post-sale revenue streams by encouraging customers to spend hard currency for stubs. The worn out refrain to this is, "Don't spend money for stubs," and, "parents should do a better job of controlling childrens' access to the family cash."
Both points have merit, but neither absolves SDS or any of the other sports game corporations from post-sale monetization schemes.

@priorfir4383355_xbl
Yes, inflated but not as far off as some may think. 1.5 million stubs could easily cost $1000. Microtransactions in gaming has completely got out of hand, and I'm one that doesn't care to pay for new content. I figure we get what is on the game when we buy it, anything released after, they have the right to charge for. The price gouging, manipulation, and using FOMO as a weapon has to change. -
It is 100% bots.
I'm guessing Anthropic's latest model escaped their sandbox and infiltrated our market. There's a data center somewhere in Kansas working overtime.

This would explain why all of SDS's intelligence seems to be artificial.
