Jeff Kent
-
Obama took half of it.
Also, Name, Image, and Likeness laws apply and Kent hasn't sold SDS his rights.
-
Like I’ve said it’s rly late in the year for new legends he will be a new legend next year.
-
Jeff Kent was mid. Lowering the bar for the HOF letting him in. Same could be said for Andruw Jones IMO.
Beltran is kind of iffy as well.
-
Same place as Barry Bonds, Ty Cobb, Jose Canseco, Mike Schmidt, Ichiro and Rickey Henderson cards.

Right. Very consistently a .290 hitter with 560 doubles and 377 HR. And didnt lose a step after leaving SF. Top 5 offensive 2B for his career. Belongs in the hall given he has numbers no other second baseman has.
Massive [censored] and very likely to never be in the game.

Pretty sure the people who voted him in don't even know who this guy is.
Delgado is a much better player than Kent. He is only 7 homers away from 500, yet he isn't considered a "hall of famer" by the BBWWA. They really confuse me.

Positional Scarcity is a thing. Carlos Delgado doesn't have more HR than anyone who played his position.

Career .290 in the 90s is equivalent to .220 now haha.

You hit the nail on the head with positional scarcity.

There are definitely other players who deserve to be in. When they were talking about Andruw Jones being so good defensively, I thought Jim Edmonds probably should be in also.
-
@olemissnole810_XBL I loved Edmonds as a Cardinal fan, and then he got into broadcasting and I realized he was a giant shithead
-
@Player99_MLBTS Carlos is at 473 and his numbers are similar to Kent if anything. But he lacks accolades. He got 9 votes tho so could be next vote he gets in.
-
Giants fans always get screwed over when it comes to cards. They usually give Mays [censored] attributes when his swing is terrible anyways.
Couldn’t even give us a Lee card when he was like batting over .400 for a month

Then put in Doug Glanville, lol.
On NBC last night, they were saying Don Mattingly should be in. If so, put Keith. As a lefty 1B man, I always looked up to those 2, growing up. They're on the edge. -
Saw a statistical comparison that Kenny Lofton has better numbers than Ichiro and wasn't even considered for the HOF... all the baseball HOF is good for, in my opinion, is to get a content drop for this game. Like someone mentioned, it's become a hall of good.
-
@TheRealJSpit_PSN ichiro numbers would look better if he got to mlb sooner instead of having to play until 45. Also kills Lofton in award and individual accolades.
-

I'm not a Cards fan, so I guess I never heard him. Was he bad at it or was it like political stuff like the Jeff Kent stuff above?

I do think Edmonds is better than Glanville lol. -
@I23SAVAGE23I_XBL
Most home runs by a second baseman. How the [censored] is that mid? -
@olemissnole810_XBL A bit political, but mostly just antiquated views on baseball and such. He was bad in general to though, just think Back in my day get off my lawn type talk.
His Ex Wife called him emotionally abusive, he criticized the Guardians and Commanders name changes on air. So nothing earth shattering, but enough.
