Swing setting “timing” is off

Jul 20, 2026, 2:40 PM PDTThere’s something that needs to be changed for how the hitting setting “timing” works. I have been going on months now of getting good timing swings an they're completely missing. The other setting might be better but I’m not good at using my analog stick and swinging at the same time.

I have noticed the same thing. I also noticed an increase in weak popups on good swings. This together with the CPU pitchers throwing everything on the edge of the zone makes it a lot less fun to play this game.

How about big zone? If you do nothing it covers the middle of the plate, left for the left side of plate up for top of zone etc. no pci. it might be better than timing(or directional) not as good as zone but not as difficult either.

Big zone doesn't work for me either, since the pitchers throw everything on the edge of the zone. I don't know what they did, but every pitcher is dotting the edge right now. They don't throw anything in the middle anymore. SDS sucked all fun out of the game. At the beginning of the year it was a lot better, but ever since they adjusted the strikezone box, they also adjusted the pitchers.

I hadn't realized it until I read this i just thought I was bad. Since reading this I did an event game and we just ran score up bc it would take you 15 games this time. Its hard to freaking time the same pitch down the middle now. You would either be way early or very late and could never really get that perfect. If they did this on purpose then they are just a bunch of scumbags at SDS.
