I’m going to submit a ticket but I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

When pitching with Gregory Soto, his pitching meter is very fast. Even in low pressure situations, it’s a fast speed. I’ve also edited his attributes to see if it would make a difference and it doesn’t change - the release is still very fast and difficult to make an accurate pitch.

@Wildstang_NSW he’s always had a ungodly fast release.

He barely lifts his foot off the ground before he throws, he always has, saw him pitch with the phillies plenty of times (on tv) and his delivery is accurate.

I was talking about the meter release - no his actual wind up. The meter is really fast. Typically it can be slower, especially in low pressure situations for all pitchers and in the game when they’re rattled the release meter gets faster. Am I making sense here? Idk if I’m explaining it well.

Or are ya’ll thinking that the meter does go fast on purpose due to his actual pitching mechanic?

I don't anything about meter, I thought you were talking about his delivery and not the input.
I do know on analog it matches the pitchers delivery so it's almost impossible to be accurate with him as you almost have to push the stick up before you start it down, I don't like pitching with him.
I have no experience with meter do I can't say anything about how that's supposed to go.

Thanks for your replies everyone, it was helpful. I use meter but I did end up changing his windup and it seemed to "normalize" the speed of release. I still have a feeling his specific windup is moving too fast on meter because other relievers that have quick windups don't have that fast of a meter release. Nevertheless, changing his windup altogether does seem to change the overall speed in lower leverage moments.
