I was surprised to realize that the Cardinals have 2 players in the top 10 in MLB for RBIs. Jordan Walker actually is the League Leader at 69.

Alec Burleson is 8th with 63.

Looking closer I find that Burleson and Dillon Dingler (#13) are the only players in the top 25 RBIs who still only have their Live series card. Dingler will be getting new card for the All Star game. Burleson will not.

Give this man a Silver Slugger card at least.

Here is the Top 25, how many cards they currently have and their best OVR card

*** Edit: Among these 27 players he is also 12th in batting average

Got him on my fantasy team. Solid hitter. Probably has to do more with the team slowing down. He should still get something

RBI isn't really a translatable stat to MLBTS. Really all it would apply to is clutch, but that would be more relevant with like average/OPS with men on base.

Among that same list of 27 players he is 12th in average. I didn't look up his avg with risp or his splits.

I just found it interesting that after this weekend he will be the only one of the top 25 without an updated card.

The thing with him is that his live series attributes vs right are pretty good, on good inside edge days, I use him as my DH in ranked with my Carpenter/Lee boost team. Against left this year, he’s bad, worse than Gorman vs left bad. I am hoping for a Silver Slugger card for him at some point so that he can have decent attributes vs left.

If he’s not a switch hitter, an SDS employee favorite, a random Br legend, or a random card that was accidentally made good, he won’t get a card. There is an SDS metaverse where certain players get 1,000 cards and others get nothing, and it’s why content is getting boring.

Glad we have a St. Louis Cardinals theme team blog😂

In all seriousness, I’m sure he will get one. I know he did get updates last year.

Some guys SDS doesn't like. David Peterson was great in 2024, no card. All star last year, no card. Topps Now gave him a card. SDS did not. Now that he sucks again maybe they will give him one.

To be fair. Burleson is pretty bad against lefties (except for last night) so I understand his live series not getting major boosts but still UI still find it interesting that he is the only one among the Top 25 RBIs without an upgraded card (after Dingler gets his all-star card)

He is now 5th in RBIs, tied with Kurtz.
