Will SDS come out with an apology?
-
@Bridge-Piece_XBL thats like saying I bet I will move into a million dollar house in 2027. Then ask the people that currently own the house (parents) you live in for a raise on your allowance. The game is great and we are all here bc we love it. SDS no longer loves the game and thats the problem.

I think this is closer to the real problem. When they brought in an almost entirely new staff a few years ago, the passion for the game itself just wasn’t there.

Huh... that does make a lot of sense.

They are about making money. No real love for baseball and it shows.

I mean it is blatantly obvious that none of the devs play the game outside of work. If any of them did then no chance the menu lag would have been a thing as long as it was. Or any bug for that matter. If you love your game then you want to fix it. They do the opposite and just introduce more problems weekly while doing maintenance every other month. Thats a losing recipe.

Not a chance, they knew the game was a disaster and took our $$$, I will not be back next year. Going to have fun with GTA 6
See you back here next year.
Not a chance

That's not mere speculation either, folks! Layoffs were conducted the first few years SIE took over ownership of SDS on behalf of Sony, and a new leadership team brought in. A great many former staff have made the crucial point that the strategic vision at SDS changed when the new team was brought in. It went from a passion for making the finest possible baseball video game to instead maximizing the profits, which of course could only happen by cutting staff to the bone and going cheap on upgrades to the game.
Words are cheap, literally. A marketing team that can slap new lipstick on the same old pig costs pennies compared to the costs of hiring a talented coding team needed to upgrade a game, or even fix issues without causing more bugs.

@unliveablechris_PSN are you joking? Of course they won’t apologize. When they changed the 20 card cap without saying anything pre launch people were mad, but if you mentioned it in stream you were insta banned

And sorry, if you’re not able to complete the innings the way they’ve adjusted the last two, that’s on you at this point.
Ummm.... excuse me I completed this and the last inning, I completed LS Collection, I am 2 vouchers from Milestone Miggy, a little over halfway to V Mart, I got Retro Chipper, will have Retro Tatis today or tomorrow, working on completing WBC collection and also working on collecting the foam finger icons which I am no where close to finishing. In saying that your that statement was a miscalculated assumption, for me and probably many others. and yes they do owe us an apology. When one of my crews screw a job up, besides consequences for the foreman, there is an apology to the customer and we go back out and fix the job; sometimes we have to give somethings up for free, why? To make the customer happy, why? We want their repeat business, we want to gain their trust, even when things didn't go right, we made it right. Because without customers nobody will have a job. It's called good customer service. It's also called accountability; get some SDS.
Huh? Did you just go on a rant about how you HAVE finished the inning when I was specifically referencing those who keep complaining they haven't?
Man.... the users that play this game are something else...

I'm about ready to give up on the game for this year; my goodwill towards SDS is long gone. Only my love of the game (baseball, not MLB The Show) keeps me coming back. This year has been a wholesale disappointment. I keep hoping that they'll actually address the numerous concerns of people, but they don't. You can only play WBC miniseasons so many times before you fire up MVP Baseball 2005 on your PC with all of it's mods or try and play Earl Weaver Baseball on your amiga emulator. The state of the game is very sad.

Will an apology make you feel better on your insides? Will your feelings be less hurt?
-
My guess is that SDS will be bought out soon and a new developer will be making MLB games.

Yeah, basically.
I appreciate your response back though.
