I've got to admit that I am a little perturbed that Jordan Walker was not even a player selection as a reserve. He got in only because the Cardinals had to have 1 player.
He has better stats than Corbin Carroll across the board (AVG, Runs, Hits, RBIs, HRs and even SB).

Now that both Schwarbs and Harper both made the ASG we will see if they do HRD, both said only if make the game-✓ both also said if healthy, I think Harper is but Schwarber has a sore back for about a week 10 days, plenty of time before the derby though.
( Note that although I have Phillies bias here if another team had 2 dominant sluggers I'd be excited for both of them to do the derby in their home park) -

I think its an extra slot too, if Perez was retiring this year (he probably should, but he is on contract for 2027 I think) he might have gotten it but probably not quite good enough.

Same here. I thought it was kind of a "last hurrah" kind of selection for someone on their way out. Not just to randomly add one more player. Feels cheesy having it be Harper.

Since TA doesnt exist they can just skip him
And wasnt that other PCA released over a month ago and a card not a lot of people have anyway?
Also, PCA's month was twice as good as anyone else. there wasn't a remotely close second for the lightning card. And he is a fan favorite, or at least was. Seems people dont like him anymore.

PCAs Lightning card is probably a higher overall than most of the standard all star cards will be. I could see him being skipped.

Noone was using the last PCA but for some reason he was still super expensive...until this lightning one comes out, then he drops way down.
Im not sure why old PCA and Figgins aren't moving way way down - theyre gonna be a WC reward in like five days....and go down to 15k...market is weird...

I mean, to be fair, he's given up at least 3 runs a game in five of his last 6 games. He has decent overall numbers but nothing standout.
Sonny Gray actually has a more legitimate gripe about being left off. But without doing a deep dive on them all I can't say there's anyone he absolutely should be in over.
