App down? Login error message
-
Just checking to see if anyone is having issues with app this morning. I am getting a login error message maybe it is just me. 6:00 AM East. Thanks.

It’s been down since last night. Don’t expect there to be a fix for another couple hours (minimum). The only time SDS goes into the office outside of normal working hours is when their bottom line is at risk.

@SoshJander_XBL
And don’t forget they’re in the pacific time zone -
Website works though.

Ya, been down for awhile. This happens to much. Never thought I’d say this, but I might need to look at these new games coming out…’26 started awesome with WBC but has been in a steady decline. I’m trying to be patient…

Came to the forum to see if it was just me. I’m having issues too
-
Went down for me last night around 11:30 pm EST.
@sds_joek_psn any update on the fix?

Tired, fake narrative.
Also by that theory, they’d be coming in to fix it since no one can buy or sell a card on the app right now. -
I put in a ticket. The app has been so bad this year.

Blame the bots for this one. SDS seems like they certainly trying to fix this, but its not easy (speaking from experience). I'm tellin ya, the only real way to stop this would be to disable the online marketplace until they can find a permanent solution to the bots, without trouble shooting with a game thats been in General release for over 4 months now.
SInce I am on my soap box.....Been playing the The Show since 2016. This team really needs to go back to the start here from a dev standpoint. Like literally go back to The Show 21 (the last good game in my opinion) and start over. Dump the Nintendo switch integration (i think a big part of their issues), and bring in some more voices (Online and Offline) who can help direct how this game should really be developed.
This game could be so much better online and offline, but every year, seems like they just keep doing bolt on's, which end up breaking more and more.
Also, Live Content.....infrequent attribute updates, cut and paste programs year after year (except this past week when they completely alienated half of their customer base), killing investing with purchase limits, timed programs that force you to play modes you have no interest in.. Its been so bad. And dont even get me started on franchise mode, which has been a complete disaster since 2021 when they stopped Year over Year saves, dumped sounds of the shows, ruined playing RTTS when they disallowed using the created player anywhere in DD (I get not using them online I guess, but offline too?).
THe only really great additions in my opinion have been 1) The Parallel system, 2) the boost system implement this yea (which could be made to be so much better) and 3) The Negro Leagues addition (this too, which incredible, could be made SO much better but introducing a Team Affinity and more longer term usuable cards from the initial launch of the game). And for goodness sakes, why cant we make Live Series cards relevant for the entire MLB season, with higher escalting ratings that can compete with flashback and legends and consider the idea of the very best LS Cards ultimatly "morphing" into the Finest Cards, which would even make the more valuable.
If the franchise is going to survive long term, the team at SDS need to go back to the drawboard, bring on some trusted community voices to help lead the future direction of the franchise. Its either that, or MLB should allow coemption back into the Baseball Game Market, really forcing a higher level of innovation by all.

I think it's been well documented that SDS is not the one who wanted to integrate the switch or XBox. I think that came form MLB.
Also, I rather enjoyed '23 (or maybe '24). Honestly, last year was the first year I didn't really play much after Memorial day. This year I've still played a ton.
-
The other great feature (IMO) was adding the ability to quit and restart Moments “instantly” instead of having to wait until the play finished.
Made moments much more enjoyable.
-
Caprado, yes I agree with that. That was a great quality of life change. They also speeded up Conquest Map processing in 22, which was great. In regards to the games, I though '22 and '23 were ok (although I think '23 lost TA), but as a whole, the game as been slowly getting worse year by year, and I'd bet that their usage stats prove that. up until '23, i played the game all the way through launch date the following year.

We are back in business

App starts working and bots instantly return.

Totally agreed. Its night and day when the app is down. If your lucky enough to be on console when it happens you make out. Sold off and flipped Brian Reynolds like a job between 1000 and 1200 stubs last night. That was my best hit.

You mean the employees don't want to go into work before they are supposed to? How dare they.
and the bosses don't want to authorize the overtime? The nerve of them. -
@DEF266_PSN I was just looking for biggest margins on silvers some where 400-500 stubs a pop. Went from 315k-375k then made it up to 418k this morning from going Mauer mini season and getting the ultra and premier packs for homeruns. I’m just stacking stubs for allstar. Might do retro lightning tmro if it’s a player I like not gonna stress if not. I didn’t get enough use out of that tatis for how much I spent for him.

@ebbets1957_MLBTS give all mobile app and desktop/website marketplace transactions a 60 second cooldown so they're not faster, more advantaged, and more abled than in game transactions. Then be ready to take note of who starts crying/complaining, and send them a personalized summary of how much they've messed up/profited off the marketplace for how long with 1 final warning explaining intended use vs misuse/abuse. Boom years of marketplace misuse fixed
