How is the Community Market feeling?
-
There’s definitely some bots back. They don’t react as quickly and are clearly slowed down to avoid restriction pauses. Same behavior with outbidding/undercutting then deleting their bids if you delete yours. I have only noticed them on a few items today. I have not noticed any items that had 100s of buy/sells a minute since Saturday. Clearly a result of limiting bids over time - bravo. Even the greediest of flippers should be able to still accomplish their goals with the limits now in place - as long as there is no competing with bots. This weekend definetly showed there is enough of everything on the marketplace to go around when the bots aren’t sucking everything up. The restriction timeout was a big blow to the bots but you gotta tighten the noose and keep up the fight! Perhaps the next step would be some kind of throttle for the amount of bids for specific items over time. Whatever the next step is, I’m going to get back to playing the game and leave that stuff to you. You can do it!

@Oliver230230230_PSN 100% agree! The only way they could be even close to as fast would be with the app & even then no. But with the app restricting accounts used by "real human players" that cant be possible anymore or they would be bring restricted too.. the bots were gone for all of 2 days.... really great. Now they have a huge advantage over everyone... even more than before
-
@NoLimitSnakes_PSN The timeout's effect the Bots also, but as stated in another thread, the people who program the bots, just add a timer between transactions to get around the limits.
It is a game of whack-a-mole, that will be never ending as long as there are people willing pay for the bots and the market is accessible via the app.

Kill the transactions on everything but the console. It’s time.

@TripleH-4481_PSN I agree.

@LadySwampfox_XBL I’m not but it’s ridiculously easy to code around. Let’s say if you place over 10 orders every minute you get temporarily market limited. They can just set the bot to place only 9 orders per minute. So will this slow down bots? Yes, but they will still work 100%
-
Which is exactly why they need to just kill all non console transactions. Yes it stinks for the honest players but much like the world we live in the scum bags ruin it for everyone else.
-
@Manu__SDS_MLBTS Seeing what might be bot activity on supercharged cards right now, like LS Miguel Vargas. Same activity as before, when they cancel and repost orders at ridiculous speed as soon as you place or cancel one. I could be wrong, it could be multiple people on this card at once.
-
It’s likely bots as the generous margins have dried up significantly over the past day or so.
-
@Manu__SDS_MLBTS it’s time to turn off transactions on the app. The bots will always find workaround to the improvements and they seem to know the end is coming so it’s getting worse and worse after each workaround is configured. Console market place is tedious but the bots are on verge of killing the game
-
I feel like at this point we will know if SDS is behind a lot of the bots based on if they kill the mobile marketplace or not. If they don’t kill it, they intend to keep it as their way to control players profiting from it.
-
@General_Heaux_PSN I agree. The bots are out of control and if marketplace transactions are turned off on the app and website things will improve drastically.
-
@General_Heaux_PSN transactions on the console are downright miserable to conduct and Xbox users will be able to emulate to their cpu and continue to run bots. The market isnt cooked from bots on the 20 cap this year its been lucrative just fine but yes some cards are botted heavily i will agree. But smashing the entire market and going to what concept? Would love to hear this ...

I forgot about the Xbox. You are actually probably dead on about that. Hooking an XBox to desktop controls is probably easier than a PS5, which is all I was thinking. Hmmm.... Man... This is tricky.

Howdy,
I want to thank everyone who is participating constructively in this discussion!
We will continue to analyze incoming traffic and refine the strategies that block unwanted requests: all your suggestions are appreciated and taken into consideration.

@Manu__SDS_MLBTS you also need to unrestrict accounts caught up incorrectly by the algorithm. Im aware this isn't you but the team working on the app has caused this.
-
You can tell the bots easily as they instantly undercut by 1 stub with 2 orders placed and then delete if you cancel your order. It completely kills the market and it’s happening constantly as of today. Needs to be addressed ASAP.
-
@greven840_PSN I didn’t think about Xbox. I am not sure what needs to be done but with after each update and workaround is configured the bots get a little worse than before. Early in year it was much smaller % of bots on the cards, now after the new workaround to SDS update is figured out just about every card down to silver has some sort of bot on it. It’s basically all of them at this point and that used to not be the case
-
I keep getting request verification failed error now
-
@nhacia88_MLBTS Me too. Small sacrifice if it stops bots.
