Hard missions - not much value
-
@DeleteyourTTVBTW_MLBTS yeah, it can be efficient if you were going to do most of the stuff anyway.
But, if youre more of an offline guy, you could just stick to the normal stuff you do to make stubs and be just fine.
It took me 7 BR games, 3 Ranked, and a little cpu play to do the hard missions. I feel like thats pretty fast - but still takes a lot of time. I certainly could've made as many stubs or more doing other stuff.

I took one look at the hard objectives and said screw this. As a below average player, a couple of them are probably way too hard for me to ever complete. But it worked out because I really don't have a spot for Acuna in my lineup so I sold him for 60k and got most of those stubs anyway.
-
@whitejw98_MLBTS you probably should have gambled and held Acuna just in case his price goes up. Which ones are too hard for you?
-
@Apolloz_99_MLBTS BR wins is the big one. I haven't played BR in years because I was losing so often that it just wasn't worth the effort anymore. 10 hits in an online game is tricky for me too, because I'm awful at hitting. I think id get there eventually but it might take a lot more games than I have time for. The other objectives are doable, but I messed up and sold Castellanos because I didnt know id be needing him. And the thought of wasting a bunch of effort flipping to buy him back is what killed my motivation for good lol
-
@whitejw98_MLBTS the 10 hits I would spit my opponent like 4-5 runs just to keep them in the game. People are more likely to stay that way. BR was just a numbers game. Play it enough and you will get those 5

Finished it up today. The 15 runs in ranked was probably the hardest, because I was in the 700 range on HOF and stink on HOF. I left the 24 Ks for last which was the right call I think. Kind of funny to jump in to a rookie mini-season game and just blow guys away with Clemens. I think I struck out the first 18 guys in a row before they finally hit one of the up and in fastball.

Do the strikeouts have to be done in Mini-Seasons?
I just struck out 22 on Veteran at Coors in a vs. CPU game. Didn't realize it until I had about 17, lol. Needed 4 late, and tried the 'Dropped 3rd strike' trick to get 4 in one inning. I was doing a game with mostly collection rewards players' PXP for completed LS teams. Opened with reliever Mark Davis, who k'd 8 in a row at one point after he walked 2 in the 1st inning! He had 9 in 3 innings, Anibal Sanchez 13 in 6. -

I just decided to do it in the new mini-season to get the XP to count towards Mauer.

Ahhhhh. Smart. I'll try that for Mauer.

Shoot, lets say you are an elite player...
To earn 75k stubs, you have to at least...
- Play 5 BR games and win them
- Play a 9-inning vs CPU game to strike out a bunch of hitters
- Play enough event to get Castellanos, then play him in at least a few games to get 1000pxp.
- Play a few ranked games to get runs
In the time it takes you to do that, I suspect you could easily raise 75k through other means.
I did three but I didn't feel like doing the runs or br since br loses me stubs. I was doing the event and lucked my way into 10 hits. Castellanos xp is easy and can be done multitasking and the one game on rookie was easy but yeah I agree that the awards aren't worth it. Would've been nicer earlier in an inning for xp.
