Why is everyone fighting?

This program is a horrible, manipulative thing to do SDS. I am not going to spend any money nor play anymore than what I am already playing. Seriously, if I want Acuna that bad I'll buy him I really don't need the 75k in stubs to jump through FOMO $hit show of a program . I am going to play the way I want to whether they like it or not. I'll be damned if my time is going to be manipulated like that.

The word “forced” is so tired lately.
Like the word “journey” I’m on a journey
No one is forcing anything
-
But theres two sides - one side will say time limitation just creates FOMO....other side will say it creates "stuff to do" on a regular basis, which is what so many ask for.
The time limitation has zero impact on the amount of content for daily players
It does, however, reduce the amount of content for people who dont play during that window.
And 2K has exactly this problem. They had a draft program where you could earn, and then evolve, a new player every day. Constant 'stuff to do'. Now forever gone from the game.
-
I’m just saying it’s better than their usual rigmarole. Baby steps, they at least ADDED stuff not subtracted
Now everyone is up in arms because they added stuff that they don’t like
They’re kind of in a lose/lose
I can say though that if SDS brought on about 1-3 of certain forum members, their game would excel and become something greater
Dolenz is the obvious but who are the other two?
SDS with a good staff could do remarkable things
Hint: it ain’t me and it ain’t Ditka
-
They’re kind of in a lose/lose
Had they
a) removed the time limited aspect
b) given a grindy offline pathpeople would be celebrating this drop (and be giving more credit to the gauntlet miniseason)
-
They aren’t be forced to do it. They just want it all and only if it’s their way. Unless they have t-mobile those offliners can go online but refuse. It was a nice idea to drop a program that’s is challenging.

There was a thread here that had some good ideas for game modes. The problem is, do they have enough staff left to actually code it
-
What @teak2112_mlbts said above.
Although, I’d be Ok with it being time limited. I’d probably not finish it, but that would be fair to all players.
But definitely, absolutely give an offline way to complete it. Heck, they do it with the Extreme program, why not EVERY program. It ain’t hard.
All I can think of is : resources. They’ve focused on the mobile version and don’t have the time and/or staff to create offline DQ, Conquest, Mini season, or Moments.
I suspect it’s less intensive to say, “get five hits in Ranked” as those services are already up and running (so to speak) and limited resources are needed.
My opinion. Only thing that makes sense to me. SDS did not used to be like this. Very discouraging.

OK - but perhaps they make this a usual weekend thing
They’re testing the waters. If they do this every weekend then we’re cooking with grease
No FOMO, just everyone wins
It would be cool as heck if this wasn’t a one-off and it became normal
Now all of a sudden everyone wins, see. They clearly see the reaction from players now if they just make this a commonplace every weekend thing there’s no FOMO for anyone
Keep the objectives difficult
Even if they did this bi-weekly it would rule
-
I've said in the other thread the I give them credit for trying a couple of new ideas even if they are not for me
-
Yep. I applaud them
-
@JenkinMeyer_PSN Some of us are upset because the June countdown requires you to play online game modes to advance. Not all of us play or enjoy the online modes and would prefer a way to progress without them.

Yeah, my only real gripe is the time limitation (although that doesn’t personally affect me). I can see why that’s an issue. But if it were to be a constant thing, maybe that’d be awesome.
As others have said: we asked for something new. We got something new. People still complained. I’m not so sure SDS is the “bad guy” here.

It becomes far worse if its a regular thing. That just adds to the enormous pile of cards people need to grind stubs for since most people cant dedicate 10-15 hours a weekend for online play. On top of that, these cards likely will not be cheap on the market once the next collection releases

I’m at a complete loss here. Get the obvious SDS hate out for their bugged out game and they need to fix that 100%
Why are people upset at this new content? They’re trying something different which is miles ahead of the standard Spotlight Fridays
They give us some challenging stuff to do, engage in it or don’t. At least it’s there.
Otherwise go about your normal programming
Because they're forcing online play. Some people may complain anyway but online player currently has known deliberate cheating, unfortunate bugs that online players exploit constantly hader/taylor. Stealing is almost impossible to stop with 99 p5 Mackey.
I think it would be fine to force online play occasionally for a reward if the online game was not currently toxic, full of exploits and cheating.
Its just a bad experience this year. I think that's why the complaining. And it's rightful. I personally liked the drop and felt a purpose to get acuna but I ran into all the annoying things of online play I mentioned in 5 games.
Plus the reset of pxp when you have every other opponent dashboard

I dont understand defending them for this.
They know that a large portion of their community does not enjoy online play and that in general people applaud them when they have varied goals to complete things
Every single person on that content team knows that it would have been more player friendly to make offline missions for each task. And they chose to do it this way.
They are trying to push people online (which they have done a LOT of the last 2 years), and using FOMO to drive 'engagement'. They should be given every bit of vitriol they are getting for this.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS you don’t have to choose to give it o fomo. It’s ok not to get every single piece of content done or collect every card.
-
Can’t upvote your post enough. Well said….

I mean, Im choosing to not play. This goes against what made DD better than the other UT modes.
-
@JenkinMeyer_PSN lmao. Bring me on. yeah im not the guy for the job.
The amount of complaining mostly by offline players is insanity. They drop a mini season, a conguest etc for you guys every week. They finally get a little creative. You guys are the problem right now not sds, as far as this subject.
