June countdown yikes

@Apolloz_99_MLBTS In all seriousness, though, seeing the community split like this shows a lot of things, but one of them is what a spectacular own goal this is from SDS.
They could have easily offered paths for everyone and this thread, the angst and the divisiveness wouldn't exist.
Setting aside the online vs offline culture wars, it's just a massive fail from SDS to read the room and understand their community.

@NotesOfJohn_PSN and I’m only talking about the k ex who can but won’t. Until they figure x the issue with T-Mobile I’m not speaking on them.
-
@NotesOfJohn_PSN on an earlier post I said to mak everything easy the way you see what’s a legit concern vs an inconvenience/ being tribual. These chats go way c smoother when ads treats rewards like Oprah.
-
So ditka06 got banned from the forums for two days. Yet I see people on here literally cursing out sds. Saying f u to them. The bottom line is this. Make the game work for both player bases. No reason why online players have to grind offline for 15 hours to complete a program. Bring back online programs for the casuals.. so that they actually wouldnt mind playing online. But you offline players complain when 80 percent of dd is offline right now.
-
I can’t even stay connected to the servers so even if I wanted to I couldn’t do this. I guess it’s back to offline modes until I’m bored to tears. So like a week
-
If we could just get an Andre Pallante, and maybe a Ray Lankford and Chris Carpenter then we’re all settled then?
I love looking at the the players involved, Utley etc. Halladay
Do not wish what happened to Howard on anyone

5 wins in BR
10 hits in a single MP game
15 runs in ranked
1,000 PXP with CastellanosHard tier missions. SMH.
-
@T4RbRuSh_XBL thats very doable. The only problem you will have is salty people quitting before you get your 10th hit.

You missed one didn't you? On reddit I also saw 24 Ks in a game.
I consider myself a pretty good pitcher against the CPU, regularly netting 18-20 Ks a game but 24 is tough.
I guess you can cheese it and let pop ups drop and just not throw to first on grounders
-
@Dolenz_PSN I did miss one but that’s the ones I seen. 24k is RIDICULOUS.
-
What i see with these Medium and Hard requirements:
Hope you match up with someone who wants to boost.
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN what I see is they’ve lost the plot and aren’t trying to keep people from migrating to CFB in a week or whenever.
-
Wow those hard missions are easier than I was expecting. The 24 Ks will definitely be the hardest.
-
Is it 24Ks vs CPU? Thats doable. Fastballs high inside: circle change, splitters, sinkers low away.
I actually threw a perfect game today with 26 strikeouts.
-
Meh, I'll pass. This isn't a bad concept though. I just don't like grinding stats online. Online to me is wins and maybe an innings multiplier that kicks in every 9IP for those who play a lot but don't win much. Also they seem desperate to get people to play BR (sorry, not interested in that). They should've held this off a week though to take advantage of July 4th weekend.

I don’t think it was a massive fail. And I don’t think they weren’t reading the room. I think they were misinterpreting the room. The complaints from both the online and offline community have been two fold:
- Not enough [insert either online or offline here] content, and
- Too much [insert other option here] content.
The solution: make a program that involves both.
I think the solution was a valiant attempt, but a misunderstanding of what the actual complaint is: offline people don’t want to play anything online, and online people don’t want to play anything offline. And they want all card rewards possible to earn that way.
Maybe it’s a fool’s thought, who knows.its a more realistic request than some of the others that just expect to be given rewards and cards for slight inconveniences or for doing nothing.

I would imagine less than 1% of players wanted a time limited program.
-
They know full well a large portion of their population does not enjoy online play
-
They know full well online players are sick of all the offline grinding they have to do
What they may not know is how much of a struggle it can be for something like 10 hits in a ranked game for some people because quitting is rampant at lower ranked levels.
I wouldn't have as big of an issue with this if either:
a. It wasnt time limited
b. It didnt have cards behind itAs it stands its the worst piece of content I can remember. I
And the thing that sucks is they did put a piece of great content along side of it, that actually caters to one request (meaningful higher difficulty offline content) without negatively impacting the people that don't want to play on HoF. But that gets buried by this disaster.
One hand at least they are trying something new, but this isnt not reading the room. this is not giving a [censored] about the room.

We all were asking for a little creativity. They are at least doing something different for a change and you offline players are still complaining. You guys are the worst.
-
I’m usually on the opposite side of the fence than Apollo99, but man you all are being a bunch of babies that can’t be pleased.

When the content divides the community it's a L program -- period
